Mine was the o/s saft for a mk1
You need to remove the metal ring, why do you think people say its a pain in the ass job, i chose to get a new shaft for mine, £45 part ex, or £30 for a gatair kit from reno, driveshaft - 1 hour gatair - god knows how long, and plenty of swearing
Standard and standard, running std pads and cheapo discs on teh rears and they were still locking u on track *needs to adjust brake bias valve more*
Rears really do f**k all in the scheme of things, so unless you have money to burn then tehre isn;t any point in utting top notch fancy sh*te on...
Will need the allen key to stop of the strut spinning around.
might be worth getting new strut top assemblies, new rubber underneath and new strut top plate, about £30 a side from reno iirc, esp if the car has done alot of miles the rubbers will be well worn.
I removed the torsion bar...
Yup head gasket, that is absoloute b****cks, a good thrash will not solve it, infact it will do more damage, prolly looking a few hundred quid labourt to do the gasket, the gasket is about £30ish, and the head bolts around £10 each iirc, so about £130 parts?
Dont quote me on parts prices, oh...
IIRC there is a combustion chamber, only a few mm above the head gasket, the valves are two differnt sizes, one for the exhaust, and one for the inlet.
Will try to remember to get some measurements.
Pm me tomorrow and remind me
Say about £40 for the rad? Only a few stone chips etc, no leaks, Stromba sold a williams one for £60 recently, and they are about £100 new from GSF.

Malice runs the same engine, and just doesnt have that mount, but when i removed the head off and rsi engine it dropped right down without that mount, and was bodged up with a seatbelt.
If i had my digi cam (mate is borrowing it) i would take the pics you want, i ahve a satripped rsi head...
