Well on my mk1 seats ive got cobra seats, the old seats unbolt off the runners, and the new seats bolt on in their place, i can take my seats out in about 2 minutes a seat now, lol

Helloe, only thing i can suggest is check the condition of the strut topo mounts and rubbers underneath, and check that the top mounts are torqued up correctly

In what way, the way it spins round is mewchanical, fed from teh speedo cable, the light for it, if that isn;t working it will be the bulb rathert then the fuse, if the fuse had gone the whoel of the instrument panel woulndt be working rather then one part. The speedo cable runs the speedo...

Dunno, hence why i suggested wiring it strfgight to the interior lightjust rung a feed off the +ve and -ve to the light bulb

I would just wire it in to teh wires that go to the interior light, then when the light is on neons are on, when light os off neons are off, and the just stick a switch in the +ve feed from the interior light to the neons to kill the power if you wanna turn them off
