Thats what i was thinking, cept i dont have a grinder and its pretty dodgy using an angle grinder with one hand at arms length under a car. Could borrow one 2morrow,b ut i may as well just sweet talk my garage inot just breaking em off.

Yeah my m8 who is a trainee mechanic suggested them, will have to invest in a set. Was to take my cat off, to measure up for my m8 to make a de-cat, but have put it all beack together now, will take it down to my local garage 2morrow and get em to split the nuts

Am halfway through taking my CAT off, and the two nuts that connect it to the downpipe are COMPLETELY siezed, have no idea how to get them off, have already rounded off one nut :(.

As you look at the fron of the car its on the left (drivers side), just infront of the fuel tank. Someone said that you dont need to clamp the hoses, but i cant see that. Fairly easy to change, undo the clips on the hoses take it out and put the new one in, make sure you get it the right way...
Ditto, but when you have a few seconds to brake and react instinct takes over. But i can hardley talk, in the grand scheme of things i cannt drive for sh*t, ive only been driving a year, so what if i drive fast everywhere and havent had, caused, or come close to having an accident yet.

Caliper looks the same as mine, the haynes manual says you have to replace the guide pin bolts(carrier pins), each time you dismantle them, strange seing as you only have to do em up to 35Nm
I have a K&n in my mk1, wiht just the one cold air feed, has made it sound alot louder, and i have more low down torque. Getting 16V bonnet, hopefully 2morrow with will give it lots of cold air. Ram air kits really dont work unless you are going at sommet like 150+ mph
