Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
see the edge is chamfered? well where that locates is a normal corner, so you have a triangular hole straight out of the block. This needs generously sealing up with instant gasket/silicon/RTV. Same goes for...

probably snagged the seal when it was going on. I grease them to prevent that
Although, I'm not convinced, It's always the cap, even when it doesn't look like it
K-tec used to farm out the remapping on the stock ECU for these. Never seen one done right, which is why they stopped having it done and developed the GEN90. We converted a handful of K-tec mechanically prepped turbo conversions to standalone back in the GDI/Omex days and the difference was...
vibrations usually happen when the mounts are under tension. you have to make sure they're sitting naturally and un-stressed before tightening. Done this way they are perfectly acceptable for daily use
It's theirs. Anything on the KTR site can be bought and or fitted via me. New system doesn't even have prices released yet though so I couldn't offer it to you quite that soon.
I'll chase it tomorrow for dates and costs
I normally expect 190-195. You do get some strong ones and some bad ones though. I did a high comp car down there recently and it only made 192 because the exhaust was strangling the hell out of it
Done days on standard genuine, standard Pagid OE spec, and various others. Learn to not over-use the brakes and they last quite well if they're well maintained and fairly new. That said, upgrading can give you more confidence and help you go faster and often at that point you'll start using them...
I did look into it a while back, but never did anything about it. Think Orange will give you an unlock code once you're out of your contract, but you might have to hastle them quite a lot
you'd be surprised the difference setting up the throttle quadrant properly makes. Changing the rod length changes the rate of opening in the light throttle area, making light throttle much nicer.
You might also be confusing snappy, with responsive, standard is flat and terrible

Jay and tony worked on that basis for 2 years, breaking a handful of enignes in the process. Then I built them an engine and they became front runners

they're genuinely not. SF torque calculations are a little higher than a DD due to the algorthyms they use for calculations, and that's pretty much across the board, but you're talking 2-5lb/ft on a 172/182...

My money's on the oil being massively fuel contaminated causing a chain reaction. Remembered a problem I saw before with a car that made a lot less power than expected, cat still in place but lambda shoved up...
