turn the ignition on and it calibrates. If you listen you'll hear it do it. Just opens and shuts to find min and max values

post cat sensor is meant to sit at 0.5v all the time (or there abouts) it doesn't cycle like the pre cat sensor. If it's varying from this then it's seeing unusual readings. It doesn't effect the running of the engine in any way anyhow so all you can use it for is to give an indication of a...

    Track Day Oil Grade?

We went for a 10w60 in the racecar. Either 5 or 10 is fine for the cold range. a 5w50 or 10w50 is pretty ideal for track days 20w50 is more often than not, a mineral oil grade, generally not very suitable to modern engines and degrading quite fast.

How do you properly reset the ECU?

racecar will be down to having a cut off switch fitted. Immobilisers don't like that. Mick did something to Pete (Toastfrenzy)s wiring of the cut off and seems to have solved the immobiliser issue. Immobiliser data can only be cleared down by virginising the ECU and re-installing the map as far...

    Bah - Still cutting out

Had a cup do similar to this. Changed the throttle body and it fixed it. Oddly it never thrwe up any fault codes and no amount of cleaning the TB made the slightest difference. It was worst for happening when manouvering to park etc on full lock

How do you properly reset the ECU?

has to be done in clip. Other Diagnostic tools can clear down fault codes but not long term fuel and ignition trim values

Janspeed mild steel system is quieter than a non genuine standard one and 130 quid less than genuine. I proved it to someone today with my itb'd 172
