    it's a flexi-join. it's moving constantly

    Icemans Britcar Endurance project 182

I wouldn't recommend it, it makes the cambelt difficult to adjust to correct tension if you go past about 10thou

Bit miffed off about Milltek exhausts...

succesful marketing. They're just as bad on vw's. I know a guy who used to deal with all the warranty claims for a local VAG specialist

    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

it seems obvious, but has the throttle body been changed yet? 9 out of 10 times it's the throttle body. I've even had the same TB cause different faults on different cars

    172 Cup Belts and Dephaser

lt and dephaser on a cup is £451.53 from me. Oil and filter change is strongly advised at the same time

French lump of s**t!!! More problems.....

the one I'd check first, you need to go through the wheelarch.

French lump of s**t!!! More problems.....

main ones are from the box to the body in the passenger wheel arch, and from the battery to the body next to the headlight. there's another from the ecu loom to the gearbox just above the passenger driveshaft

    Idle control Valve 172

Sounds more like early failure of the throttle body to me. I've seen a couple do exactly that recently

    Coilover assistance (what are these?)

IMO the top cup that slides down the shaft is broken and needs replacing. There should be a step at the top of the shaft/bottom of the thread that it locates on. The slimline nuts should both be removable

    No Power

sounds to me like it'll be either coil or lambda related.

Labour Cost to fit Cam Belt ???

that's not a good deal to be honest. A genuine belt kit is £125, £13 for plugs £72 for an aux belt kit (full kit is a must) and I charge £450 all in.

    Oil leaking a fair bit??

that's hardly anything. and it looks like it's been there for ages as the dust has dried it out . Don't worry about it

a question for 172/182 owners about exhaust manifold

brake fluid reservoir is one of the most important things to sheild IMO and that's in the upper part

Block the small hole of return of oil in the decanter of oil : Good, Bad, Dangerous ?

Re: Block the small hole of return of oil in the decanter of oil : Good, Bad, Dangero 1 is for positive crankcase ventilation. This means the oil vapours are sucked into the engine through this hole. There is no issue from blocking this as long as the main outlet (number 2) is unrestricted

Burpspeed Version 2: Race Car Build

    Cool story bro

    Is my fooked lol ?

totally inconclusive test. I've seen one with a dead lambda (and I mean DEAD, no signal at all) still give ~40mpg. The car didn't drive well though Plug in and look at live data and long term trims is the only way to tell if it's working properly. And no a code reader off ebay isn't good enough...

Had the 182 on a rolling road, flat spot?

can you feel it on the road? if not it's not a flat spot, it's just a dip. It's pretty normal

    Is my fooked lol ?

swap your lambdas, put the new one at the front and the old one at the back

    Induction broken

all that pipe does is take air from the accoustic valve to make induction noise less. you're still filtering with it disconnecet and it's probably less resticted

Websites soon to be forced to identify trolls?

Aimed at 4chan types more than here, although there's few examples on here who fit IMO (but the number is in single figures)

    Hankook V12 vs Uniroyal RS2

lol, wet grip is the best thing about them!!!

    Hankook V12 vs Uniroyal RS2

I think the v12s would be a lot better in 16s with a small sidewall. In a 15 they feel nervous

Parts diagram needed for Gear linkage

it sits inside the boot (number 11) so it's not totally obvious if there's a problem until you look closer

Parts diagram needed for Gear linkage

look at number 10. I had a williams in a while ago that had popped the ball in the center off it's retention.
