and it's a cambelt of job to fix it properly. You might get away with removing bolts and applying a bit of sealer for a while, but it'll deteriorate again eventually
getting under 30mpg to start with raises some concern for me. I suspect there was an issue there before, possibly lambda sensor. You should see at least 35mpg, and over 40 if you drive carefully on a run.
I'd say the cam timing was out too now. Read the sticky thread at the top of the engine...

I always used tesco 99 in my 200sx's and consistently made more power than people said was possible for the spec. It's good stuff
I'm almost positive they'll discover a mistake with that, there's cheap and TOO cheap. The cambelt kit is £124.50 now, The aux belt is £12.50, core plugs are about £13 for the pair, and the dephaser is £176.18. I can understand discounting the parts, but that difference is WAY more than the...
I expect they are all plus VAT, and not an aux kit, but only the belt (silly way of doing it). you do get variations between dealers, I don't use my local becuase they're a lot more expensive than the one 30 miles away that delivers. 3rd price is just going to be wrong, the dephaser alone is £176
i would use literally ANYTHING else before fitting EBC.
Good quality standard stuff will go you for the road. I fit/sell Pagid disks and pads and they're excellent. For a "OE replacement" they're better than standard
yeah AC car but not changing the pump (very low miles sales cars i was working on at the time)
Couldn't do one that quick now as I rarely see a 1.2 anymore, but i was doing 4 per day at the time
