oooft, dont hold back Steve
Taking the opportunity to do a few little extras while it's apart. Should see a better result next time it's on the rollers
I agree. My Trophy wasnt mapped but we mapped my cup and the difference is massive. The cup just feels so much more willing and loves to be driven hard!! :D
We have had great feedback from our customers too.

Re: Any interest in a Karting meet?
I'm a little uncertain at the moment as I've jarred my back so having to be a bit careful. Let you know in a few days. Really want to do it
it's not unheard of for the woodruff key to shear on these, especially if the bolt hasn't bee torqued correctly. The pulleys normally move very easily. You're probably going to need some sort of hub puller
Ignition!!!!! ignition timing is what causes too much heat in the vast majority of cases. Far too many people r****d the ignition way too much, huge heat is created, melty lump is formed
I'm going to be honest, I think you've kind of ruined your light throttle control. The shape of the housing is such that only one side opens up at light throttle, giving nice fine light throttle. With boring it out you've turned it into an on/off switch. It wont lose you anything big, but will...
far from it, it's actually very well catered for if you look at the number of people prepared to spend money on them. You just have to do things properly from the ground up as it's not a performance focussed engine as standard fit
Re: A decent garage in surrey to help check and set up timing after cambelt change...
He was quite clearly talking about the ignition timing being computer adjustable as the engine doesn't have a distributor or similar. Still......
maaaaaaaaaaaaassively niave
you're doubling your MPG for about 1% increase in fuel cost
I'd be all over the dci. it's quite frankly a brilliant car.
A 1.6 petrol is the smallest engine I would bother with, the rest are pretty painful
Re: Steve Jobs Dead
Thats sad. I dont think it's too much of a surprise, he looked horrific recently when he stepped down from his duties. Kind of hoped it was just the treatment that made him look to rough
RIP

some good videos that explain what's done, made by the manufacturer
Re: Any recommendations to set up timing on 182 in surrey....after cambelt change...
you dont reallt "adjust" the timing. You set it correctly with locking tools and a tensioning procedure
We could collect your car with a trailer and rectify the situation if you wish
