Dont have the mk3 dci schedule right now. Should have it monday, but as an example of the contradiction, a 197 cambelt is 5 years or 72k, and a 200 is 6 years or 72k. Identical engines, but they've switched to 24 month servie intervals. I'd always recommend doing more than the schedules say...
on a meg 225 they are very good in wet and dry, but we've also seen random flat spotting. Looks like small sections have peeled off. I wouldn't buy them personally
no, you can't cable tie bits of your high pressure fuel system together.
Someone will have a ph1 rail, put up a wanted ad. I sold one a few months back
seems a strange combination. absolute total bargain basement cheapest coilovers going.....and very good top mounts
Buy better coilovers, run stock top mounts. Upgrade to better top mounts later if you feel the need
sump gasket replacement is probably about 3 hours labour, likely to round off a couple of bolts (there's always a couple of s**t ones) gasket is something like £15 on it's own IIRC, then an oil and filter change
Cambelt is due at 72k so overdue
the rest depends on what has been done at previous services, and when. service interval for diesels is 12k, for non sport petrol's it's 18k
I'm yet to understand why they do it, but the plugs on 1 and 2 seem to wear first and the tips become quite seriously eroded, but just on these cylinders
