Bit of advice from fellow non-sport owners please.

must have missed my post so I'll repeat it. Check your brakes!!! the rears on mk3's are pretty bad for sticking. We freed off a set (mates wife's car) and MPG went right back up to 55

    Best Brake Pads

ds2500 are definitely a track pad!! thats why they run without anti squeel shims. For a near standard car I'd spec just ordinary Pagid disks and pads on the front, and genuine rear disks with Motrio pads. and just to dispell another myth, Bembo HC's are not an upgrade. They're simply a...

Its Coming ... But How Much?

    Apex springs

mk3 should be nice on 17s if you have well chosen tyre sizes. Not tried apex springs on a mk3 and dont intend to to be honest. fair play though, it's your car and you're happy :)

Is it possible/worth fitting 197 injectors and rail to a 172?

Bike bodies are an arse ache. They're not cheap really once you take the extra work of adapting them into account Wish I'd said no to this really...... You live and learn. Off the shelf would have been easier and to a better standard.

Bilstein B14, one of the best on the market?

yeah rears being WAY too high is what I was refering to really. Got a customer who had to get custom springs made after he stripped out the back as it was higher than standard. FFS.

Is it possible/worth fitting 197 injectors and rail to a 172?

no, I wouldn't. The 197 injectors have a bit of an unusual tip, they have a long thin "nozzle". They're not that much bigger than 172 ones either. If you really need larger (you probably dont) then megane 225 injectors are ideal, and on fuel systems with a return line an inline regulator (ie not...

197 isn't a DMF. You can get a lightweight Billet one though.

Bilstein B14, one of the best on the market?

they're reasonable on a standard car. If you strip the car out they're damped wrong, and dont go low enough by a mile. Far from the best on the market

Koni shocks for a 182 cup

no, they were redesigned because I asked for changes, provided parts and a vehicle, and went into detail over what was required and lacking

Will 172 inlets fit on a 182 head?

I recon I could make a 172 inlet fit a 182 head. Bit of a faf but not impossible. Trim one of the mounting lugs off the breather plate and it should go

How do I go about getting my 172 re-mapped?

the maps we use give better throttle response, and improve mpg by a noticable amount.

    M11 GTT - Clio Mk1 F7P Turbo - Bang ;-)

well thank god for that, pain in the arse but at least it's finally tracked down (after 18 months!!!!!) Seen that cracking before, and it's normally down to there being fluid in the bolt hole, or too much grease on the bolt when it's torqued. You get a hydraulic effect which finds the weakest...

    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

Cages make so much difference to how the car feels. Can vouch for how good the OMP is too. definitely improved in the last couple of years, never want to fit another custom cages one again now! That's a lot of toe out??!?!?!?!!!
