Dissapointed in ktec stage 2 tuning

Sounds like the improvement you've got is about right for the work done. I know they were benchmarking the new dyno recently as a stock 182 was making 165

Dissapointed in ktec stage 2 tuning

well yeah, the dyno and workshop is booked up most of the time and workshop staff dont take bookings, but I'm sure if you'd asked someone (there are 11 people there) that you would have got some help

Dissapointed in ktec stage 2 tuning

sounds like the timing is out to me. did you actually ask them to investigate why the power is low?

    1999 renault laguna, any good?

1.6 will be a K4M. Bit of a small engine for a large car, but it just about manages

    1999 renault laguna, any good?

Can't bring myself to have any love for the mk2 laguna. The mk1 was so good it just left the new one feeling very mediocre IMO

Phase 1 exhaust on Phase 2.....again

depends which exhast you get, there's a few which have adjustable length with a sleeved joint just after the cat.

    Apex or Eibach?

I can't get my head round why people ignore the middle ground with springs. Why is it always cheapest or most expensive brand?? Guess it comes under the following the crowd mentioned above. People should be more careful of advice from forums, it's full of enthusiastic people who love what...

    172 Non-Stealth exhausts?

Piper recessed Usually inwardly rolled tailpipe on the piper, but as they're made to order, an outward roll is no issue at all. available in 2.25 and 2.5 inch, so can go quieter with the smaller bore and it's a minimal restriction. Also always comes with a center silencer, and a 182 cutout trim

    182 cat back exhaust.

it's this bit that i'm disagreeing with. The 182 systems are completely different in fit, quality and sound. You can't make a judgement on a 182 system with experience of a 172 system. It's purely a speculative opinion

    Apex or Eibach?

they are crap, but people still want them as they're cheap. I can't be bothered with them personally. PI are my choice, 25mm drop and well matched to standard damping, never had a single bit of negative feedback from fitting a fair number, whereas I get a lot of disappointed Eibach owners...

    182 cat back exhaust.

Piper is my favourite overall, and with cat still fitted it's a very pleasant sounding system.

    182 cat back exhaust.

complete speculation, and no factual basis the new janspeed branded systems, especially for the 182 are almost standard noise levels until you give the throttle some pressure.

    182 cat back exhaust.

on a 182, quietest would probably be the Janspeed (KTR) sport. Thats what I'd use if a quiet system was requested

thats the right stuff. We have it on the shelf ;)

    Nokia Announcements

Had a play with an 800. Impressive touchscreen!! not sure I like the tiles, they're a bit cartoony/childish. More impressed than I thought I would be though

My ITB'd 172 cup fast road/ track car project

definitely makes a difference, but it's not a case of longer the better right across the board we tried these out during mapping of a williams made a huge difference to the shape of the torque curve, pushing the peak down the revs Have also trialed different lengths on 2 litre zetec, and...

depends what's already been done, how long since last service etc

My ITB'd 172 cup fast road/ track car project

60mm trumpets are optimal with the KTR direct to head bodies on a standard engine

    cambelt due/worth getting cams??

yes, can supply, fit, and reflash map your ECU, £1150 on a cup
  23. D

    cambelt due/worth getting cams??

that's roughly the possible gains. They're really very good. I've wanted to be able to use 421's with the stock ECU without compromise for a long time, and these fill that criteria being a very similar profile

    Motrio or standard ferodo pads?

Motrio are what I would fit every time, anything more is pointless and yes, exact same pad as a lot of peugeots

207 bhp 182 not as fast as standard stripped 172 cup

I thought the numbers were from a Dynodynamics. That explains it tbh. that superflow is a lovely piec of kit, but it's consistently higher than elsewhere. Best thing to do is see where in the revs the gains are, if the gains are all higher up, then it's not a big surprise that a healthy...

    Removing 172 manifold?

172 exhaust manifold definitely comes out the top. Easier if you lower the engine so it sits on the subframe once the manifold is unbolted.
