Sounds like the improvement you've got is about right for the work done. I know they were benchmarking the new dyno recently as a stock 182 was making 165
well yeah, the dyno and workshop is booked up most of the time and workshop staff dont take bookings, but I'm sure if you'd asked someone (there are 11 people there) that you would have got some help
I can't get my head round why people ignore the middle ground with springs. Why is it always cheapest or most expensive brand??
Guess it comes under the following the crowd mentioned above. People should be more careful of advice from forums, it's full of enthusiastic people who love what...
Piper recessed
Usually inwardly rolled tailpipe on the piper, but as they're made to order, an outward roll is no issue at all. available in 2.25 and 2.5 inch, so can go quieter with the smaller bore and it's a minimal restriction. Also always comes with a center silencer, and a 182 cutout trim
it's this bit that i'm disagreeing with. The 182 systems are completely different in fit, quality and sound. You can't make a judgement on a 182 system with experience of a 172 system. It's purely a speculative opinion
they are crap, but people still want them as they're cheap. I can't be bothered with them personally.
PI are my choice, 25mm drop and well matched to standard damping, never had a single bit of negative feedback from fitting a fair number, whereas I get a lot of disappointed Eibach owners...
complete speculation, and no factual basis
the new janspeed branded systems, especially for the 182 are almost standard noise levels until you give the throttle some pressure.
Had a play with an 800. Impressive touchscreen!! not sure I like the tiles, they're a bit cartoony/childish. More impressed than I thought I would be though
definitely makes a difference, but it's not a case of longer the better right across the board
we tried these out during mapping of a williams
made a huge difference to the shape of the torque curve, pushing the peak down the revs
Have also trialed different lengths on 2 litre zetec, and...
that's roughly the possible gains. They're really very good. I've wanted to be able to use 421's with the stock ECU without compromise for a long time, and these fill that criteria being a very similar profile
I thought the numbers were from a Dynodynamics. That explains it tbh. that superflow is a lovely piec of kit, but it's consistently higher than elsewhere.
Best thing to do is see where in the revs the gains are, if the gains are all higher up, then it's not a big surprise that a healthy...
