Not a fan. If your car was stripped, caged etc it would look good, like a track refugee. If not, it'll looks like a posers car. Same opinion for me as ring stickers on cars that have never been there.
Depends what she wants from the car. There'll be arguments galore, but IMO (and the guy in PC magazine who's run a 197 for several thousand miles, including track days, and confesses to loving the 197), the Trophy is more fun to drive.
The 197 is better built, better looking, has better brakes...
Fred, any issues with noise limits on track days? I think I remember Ysport having to run on reduced revs at tunergp because of the exhaust being too loud.
Ok, firstly, they are the published weights, not the measured. From whats been lost, I'm not sure it will be 20kg. Having driven both (I owned a 182cup), a FF182 drives exactly the same. It's not a valid benefit if it has no effect, and it doesn't.
I've owned every variant except the 172cup. The Trophy is the best to drive (by a mile IMO), but priciest. Not much difference 182 v 172, a lot of people forget that when they got a 182 they were comparing a car on old tired dampers (172) to a car on newer suspension. From new, there's not much...
