    New Decals

Not a fan. If your car was stripped, caged etc it would look good, like a track refugee. If not, it'll looks like a posers car. Same opinion for me as ring stickers on cars that have never been there.

    Converted The G/F

Depends what she wants from the car. There'll be arguments galore, but IMO (and the guy in PC magazine who's run a 197 for several thousand miles, including track days, and confesses to loving the 197), the Trophy is more fun to drive. The 197 is better built, better looking, has better brakes...

    Cheap trophy

So lucky to sell mine when I did, got 6.5k a few months ago, with more than double those miles.

    MOT wrong mileage

Very much doubt that! Get it changed asap, I'd walk away from a purchase if the mieage on the mot didn't match.

    what exhaust?

Fred, any issues with noise limits on track days? I think I remember Ysport having to run on reduced revs at tunergp because of the exhaust being too loud.

197 Cup vs Trophy at Spa

182 has a slight edge in the straights, 197 monsters the braking. Trophy's more fun, for me.

Which is the best drive, 182 or 172

Ok, firstly, they are the published weights, not the measured. From whats been lost, I'm not sure it will be 20kg. Having driven both (I owned a 182cup), a FF182 drives exactly the same. It's not a valid benefit if it has no effect, and it doesn't.

Which is the best drive, 182 or 172

    Line up a 182 and a 182cup. There's no difference.

    S1 Exige refresh

S1's look so much more like a track refugee than the S2's. Looks very nice.
  21. ForceIndia

Which is the best drive, 182 or 172

The 182cup was a marketing edition. No significant weight loss, same to drive as a FF with cup packs.
  22. ForceIndia

Which is the best drive, 182 or 172

I've owned every variant except the 172cup. The Trophy is the best to drive (by a mile IMO), but priciest. Not much difference 182 v 172, a lot of people forget that when they got a 182 they were comparing a car on old tired dampers (172) to a car on newer suspension. From new, there's not much...

    strange ride hight

Yep, looks lowered front but not back. Weird.

    172 for trophy or 182

    :oSarcasm filter fail.
  25. ForceIndia

    172 for trophy or 182

Uh, thats why they drive very differently to a 182/172.
  26. ForceIndia

    172 for trophy or 182

Best car i've ever driven (the trophy). Steve took me out in his, sacred me witless. Had bikers getting out of the way lol.
  27. ForceIndia

    172 for trophy or 182

Trophy's are far better to drive than 172/182. No point going for a 182, but a Trophy would be a great upgrade.
