Yep, a normal 172 would do that better. But he was asking about a 172 cup or a 182.
Why are people on here so argumentative? I was just giving my view of things, the same as everyone else has done.
If you took an average of every cup and an average of every 182. The cups would win. Assuming...
It certainly doesn't take an epic racing driver to notice more feel through the brake pedal. It's been said on here many times. Not having abs gives you better brake pedal feel. That's how I would prefer my car to be.
How was I saying I was superhuman???? I didn't say a thing about my driving...
BUT, I'd much rather have better brake feel and control ALL of the time. When it's slippery, I 100% would rather be able to feel what was going on over having electronics sort it out for you
I drive my cup as a daily, drove it every day in the snow and not a single problem. watching people with...
The cup is not more likely to crash! It's fools who can't use their brakes who crash them! People make out like cups just crash themselves when it's slippery.
The 172cup is quicker than a 182. Fact. Regardless of what you own, a car that ~100kg lighter will always be quicker. Plus, the lack...
That's the approach that most take. It gives you more drivability and a better torque curve even if there's not much peak power to be had.
Lightweight is the way to go with the Clio.
Need to keep mods basic and tidy mate. You can make non sports look really tidy for not a lot of money.
Your first step should be to buy my cup turini's lol ;)
But seriously, some nice wheels, lowering and body colouring and it will look really tidy.
Round here hot girls all drive KA's. However, I did see probably the most stunning girl I've ever seen last week, driving a Clio. I even went to the effort of remembering the number plate. Lol.
b****cks to having a sub held in with bungy cables. No.
Separate amp and sub. 100%. Get a 4 channel amp, bridge two of them for the sub and amp some front components. All the sound quality and volume you'll ever need.
I don't see the problem with it tbh. As long as you can see a record and receipts for the workthat was done, and it was done by someone reputable and professional I'd happily buy one.
As said though, you've gotta bare in mind that it's resale value will be sod all, so it's got to be cheap enough.
£9500 for two cars... That's not terrible is it really. I saw this the other day and thought it was pretty reasonable.
If you were planning on doing this conversion yourself then you'd save yourself a whole heap of time and money.

The 182 striping is thinner than 2.5'' iirc. I think you have the 200 gordini stickers. Doesn't make any difference though really.
