    will a 182 engine fit my 172

    Rocker covers aren't interchangeable. If its a ph2 172 you will be able to bolt it straight in with the 182 inlet. Just need to change the Carbon canister pipe.

    That's the issue isn't it, 1 person who has them no issues, might recommend 2/3 people. 1 bad case and everyone is told. But then, it does also raise awareness to potential issues. Then it can also be hypochondriacal effect too...

    It does seem to be a lottery on documented fitment though (I.e the people we know who have fitted them, not including people who have them who aren't on the forums) some people have had them with no issues like yourself, other have had loads of issues.

    By the sounds of it you need to replace the rear discs, pads and bearings. I'm just over the water in Somerset if you want a specialist.

    Must be a tech thing. I've exactly the same thing. Could hear it at Bedford rolling from side to side round the bends PMSL.
