Ahhh, ok.
In my Vectra now I have a kenwood headunit which I'll probably sell.
I've just plugged my ipod thru the AUX connection, and likewise charged it thru the fag lighter.
Just wondered if anyone had any different setups. :)
Cheers fella. Will probably have a few questions at some point! :D
I was attracted by the tax/ insurance side. Better than my thirsty V6 by far!
I'm not into slamming cars suspension-wise, but I'd like to drop it probably 45mm?
I was under the impression it wasn't a great standard HU.
Is there a way of charging and playing my ipod thru the standard HU? I guess something like a Connects2.
I saw he wasn't on here.
I'm picking up a Mk3 DCi 86 Dynamique in what I believe is Oyster Grey?
Got some Megane Nervasports in the garage that need a refurb, and then got to decide on how big a drop, and what spacers to get.
I live in Mollington, but work in Adderbury, so I commute across...
Depends what you use. Remus centres (like I have on my 2.5) are quite raspy, but once warmed up they're not bad.
2.6 engine note is pretty much the same really. Depends on the backbox too. Most go for the Double D as the Letterbox is a bit more restricted.
Magnex is a popular centre section...
Mine doesn't! Or won't at least. Hehe.
The clio will handle better out the box though, whereas the Vectra needs money throwing at it.
I can see where you're coming from though. The estates were my fave. My 2.5 was pretty good, but still, went wrong more than a car should.
Oh I'll agree, if I was to pick one, the GSI would top the lot, but at the end of the day, they're cheaply built and go wrong horrendously sometimes.
I can't see why anyone would pay that much for a Vectra.
As for tax, you're right. Still, the late ones are £270 a year.
According to Parkers...
It's a Vectra for a start. Having owned mine for 5 and a half years, I would never, ever, pay that much for one.
Just because someone is willing to pay that much for it, doesn't make it a good price.
There's a legendary thread on VVOC, of someone who sold one for £10k only a year or so back...
Massively over priced. Even with that low mileage.
I wouldn't have another. Rust buckets, and expensive to maintain. Parts are dirt cheap, but they fail so often.
Likewise. I'm changing from the Vectra to the Clio. It's £90 cheaper for a start, at £250. Then, non-performance mods are free. A remap would cost me £60 more. Win!
Put my deposit down today. Pretty chuffed!
Unfortunately didn't get my own piccies - that'll be next week!
Here's the dealer's pics.
DCi 86 model with A/C
It's got some minor scuffs on the back bumper that I will get sorted.
Also; the trim around the radio, has actually peeled away and is...
Looking at this Clio DCi:

Just rang them up (the garage), and asked some questions.
