What I'm saying is, if he is manually or even using the mpg read out, it wont be correct. as the car says he has covered 30 miles to 1 gallon. but, because the speedo has not been reading correctly, it will have covered say 40 miles to that 1 gallon. the MPG readout will say the 30 instead of...

Are you running m8 studs on your turbo? I had the same issue on my LCR, I ended up using m10 studs and Norlock washers and that solved the issue for me.

Yes it would. If your speedo is cutting out. It doesn't see that you are covering distance but you are using fuel. Thus less miles per gallon.

You have to lower it gently on to the subframe.

I don't remove the alternator bracket to remove the water pump. they are E8's iirc. its about an hour and a half to do, but thats with a ramp. Emma and I did hers on the floor and it was a PITA.
