thats the inertia switch, cuts the fuel if you crash. nothing major or dangerous. but if your car cuts out whilst driving and wont restart be sure to check that 1st
What Reg is it?
If its blue it'll be wither 449(williams blue) or 432 (monaco).
449 is williams blue and is 1991-late 95
432 is late 95 onwards. my N reg is monaco - 432. but ive seen an M reg thats williams blue.

the ecu has to be read in the car as the ecu doesnt have a fault logging system.
where are you based as im sure there will be a specialist near by.
Shes cranking again, fuel pump priming, fan wired up on a switch, reverse lights wired up, i think ive found the rev counter and the coolant temp sensor...

new loom is in, pmurray is hopefully getting the ecu sent out to me today, need to go and finish certain parts, like get the reversing lights wired up and wire in a new relay for the fan...
aye you can on the 5's but it wont be fluttering onless there is something wrong. or you have en external wastegate. but then again even with the rally cars etc they get compressor surge rather than wastegate chatter.
aye, a vacuum is formed when there is a restriction and the engine is actually sucking rather than being filled at atmospheric pressure.
you want to find where the restriction is, you need a glass tube about a meter in length bent in a u shape around a 25mm pipe, with indecators at 10mm apart...
