Shocks DO NOT have anything to do with ride height.
it could be a case of a siezed shock, thus holding the car down, but a worn shock wont affect it.
it could also be a broken torsion bar, so all the load is on 1 side.
drill it out with an 8mm drill. thje head should come off allowing the centre bit to stay in the hub.
when renault did the bearinf it doesnt need the disc off.
on the front/bottom of the gearbox, goes through the hole in the subframe and where the earth leads are it bolts to there.
Pain in the arse though as the aux pump is in the way!
