Yeah dCi 68 use the same setup as the 100
If I were you I’d be picking stuff up all the time if it’s that cheap![emoji23]
I bought a full dCi 100 for parts so I wouldn’t have to buy any large bits for mine for a while[emoji23]
Just seen a lovely and clean trophy sat in traffic on the M62 just before the M1 at J29
I was in my dCi and tried to slow down enough to get your attention without looking like a silly t**t[emoji23]
Any intercooler makes them things so much better! Ford Transit one will fit, get the 2.4 130bhp one iirc though as they’re larger and the end tanks aren’t plastic.
Cambelt today, new expansion tank and I must have cleaned off about half a mtric f**k tonne of grease and oil from inside my cable covers and down the side of the block!!
Cambelt/waterpump all back on and timed
Everything all back together. And to say this is when I “cleaned” a lot of stuff...
Found out today that my dCi is getting rarer and rarer?
Who knows, by Christmas there might be less than 500 at the rate that they're getting squashed!
Also been looking at options for new wheels for my 172 as I dunno if I want to use the slipstreams or not. I have a hankering for...
I'd be happy to mate! I have a 172 mount on there atm with the larger metal part in the rear mount so has stiffened it some but the front mount is a little worse for wear haha
Link to my vid ain't liking the thread ;)
Yeah not my brightest idea to date? I'll post a vid soon... It'll make your teeth hurt just listening lol
I wish she did, she got right pissy about it??
The minimum spacer is for the rear as the lip from the spacer will snap off if used on the rear mate
Pic attached is my 15mm eBay specials after 10 mins lol. I think the spigot lip on the rear disc is 17.3mm so 18mm is needed to clear that or risk cracking the spigot off of the spacer like I...
No worries mate
I think the smaller bush replacement and standard rear bush would be a great happy medium for some people. I know all too well the harshness of polybush mounts, especially being stuck in traffic for 3 hours in my dCi with a solid dogbone!! Wasn't nice at all and had a migraine...
Yeah as long as you didn't swing on a breaker bar to tighten them up, easiest way to tell is if you pull the pinch bolt out and it has one slightly flat spot enough to cause a tiny bit of play when you pry down the lower arm
Yeah that much rotation is fine as the top mount should turn with the whole shocker assembly iirc
Try the new bush kit as it will rule that out anyway, you might be able to see the bottom and top spring seats with the shocker on but you'll need to remove the wheel in order to get your noggin in...
Just have a look on eBay mate. Or have a look at the Direnza ones, they're decent quality from my past experiences
H&R are shoddy considering the reputation they have, I went back to eBay spacers after using H&R as I just didn't trust them much
They should rotate with the shocker ever so slightly but it shouldn't be anything drastic
You may have rotated the spring out of its seat or the bearing might just be fucked
Seems odd you only get it every so often
I chased “loose” steering feel in my dCi for absolutely ages and it turns out the hub was I Alex in the ballpoint hole and even after replacing the ballpoints it would still be the same anyway
Also have you jacked the engine up? It might seem that your...
Did you put everything back on the right way?
Jack the car up and give everything a right good pulling and tugging, there’s multiple different things it could be from ball joints to rack rubbers. Only way to try and see is to have a thorough going over in my experience
I’d start with ball...
Nah sanding is the only way! I usually dry sand with like 600 first, then if I need to move down to about 280 then work my way up to 3000 and ceramic coat em a few times
