dCi 100 is completely different intake as it has a MAF instead of just intake air temp sensor mate

Literally just put a 60mm Ramair Filter on where the airbox bolts up. Still need to run hose for colder air but runs exactly the same as it did before with more turbo whistle and "suck"

Empty the contents of the fuel filter into a black spray paint cap If there’s any metal flek in there the pump will have gone. If there isn’t then do as above and leak off test injectors as it will more than likely be one of those causing the issue

Yeah diesel isn’t volatile, you can sit and throw matches and lighters at a diesel spill all day without it doing anything. Compress it and heat it to above 200 degrees and then it’s a different story But even if you compress engine oil and heat it to a certain degree it will become volatile...
