You dont have to make it so hard on your self. I did a new stereo install a few months ago replacing the tweeters and door speaker. I didnt need to route new wire. I chose the Alpine SPR 50c components and the tweeters come with a crossover ( for just the tweeters.) It was a case of...
They are 16", cup offset (ET38 or 37 cant remember.)
Cant wait to get the anthracite ones (or whatever colour the trophy ones are) fitted and get my new brakes on too.
Think that combo looks better than:
Want a set but feel strongly they just arent worth it. You can get much nicer recaro seats that are much cheaper albeit not for clios.
Bet they go for £800
How are people finding the feel of the 02m gearbox? I had one years ago on a golf V6 4motion and found it had a horrible feel. Compared to a 182 gearbox which gives a nice feel when going into gear the 02m felt sloppy and didnt really click into gear with a nice feel. Having the 6th gear is nice...
Might be worth looking at the HT leads when they are off the spark plugs.. there is 5 or so seals on the lead that stop moisture and stuff getting down the spark plug hole. If it was me and the cause of it was the oil and moisture around the spark plug I would get some earbuds and with...
I had the same thing happen on my old 172 , I think I used black silicone. But deffo get the windscween kit marc has listed, thats a lot cheaper than i thought it would be.
buy a new sensor, they arent cheap for what they are. OR search the forum, remember years ago someone posted what thermistor you can buy at maplins for 35p and then solder it in.
Thats the standard colour , its like a faded yellow , called Tea Yellow. I quite like it. properly quick cars but getting on bit now, still wouldnt mind one for a few days.
I had the KTR stealth exhaust (full inc silenced centre section) and found it pretty loud. Its 20% louder than standard. Ive never heard the super sport mind. I do miss that exhaust. It was fine for town driving, not too loud or droney and then when you felt like being loud and gunned it through...
Had a chance to properly test this now and my god it can be loud. The sound is awesome - so deep and throaty. Im going to london tomorrow and there is a nice little tunnel near hillingdon on the M40 on the way there. Going to give it full beans through there!!
Is anyone else thinking the filter needs oiling? Mine felt pretty dry even though the black rubber connector part was a little greasy. Im going to order some of that ITG oil Fatty was on about.
Just been driving around and the noise is really good. You only hear the induction roar when the engine is under load. It's perfect as for.normal town driving it's quiet. Putting the car in 3rd when doing 20 mph and flooring it makes it really roar. Loving it.
All done, nice and quick. Dont have any cable ties though, but used some string and the pipe insulation as mentioned a page or two back.
THANKS FATTY. off for a drive now.
Rain has stopped play ...booo. got as far as removing the standard airbox. Im at the stage of trying to get the pipe out that goes down to the acoustic valve too. the one next to the headlight. Do i really just yank it? , it wont damage the headlight wiring will it?
forgot to say if you need to stretch the filter hole a little you could use the bottom of a glass or cup. I have left mine stretching a little, hopefully when i get back it will be ready to slide in.
