Not made any progress on this really, not had time to sort the carbon front parts, hopefully get front bumper off in next week or two and get it done.
In meantime collected front subframe assembly to strip, get powdercoated and build up with new components. Come from a 100 ish k car so I'll...
Still awaiting correct steering rack boots to arrive as ones I ordered first are too large. Once they arrive I can fit front subframe and suspension assembly to the car and pop it back on the deck up front.
Then I'll begin task of stripping underside from bulkhead back.

Not until it needs it, still going strong so no need currently, would love to strip engine and box down when something finally does let go just to see what sort of nick everything is inside
Anyone ever removed them, ones for drip undertray etc, then replaced.
Got couple snapped and I'm powder coating frame too so be easier remove and replace

yeah I hated the NS2-R's as well, useless on road and track and loads of noise too, awful things.
@dann2707 only tyre for that really that performs well on both counts are the old version of the R888's in medium compound. Not too noisy, okay for road use as don't need loads of heat in them to...
ad08 are a road tyre really, give up on track pretty easily too compared to a true track oriented semi slick.
unfortunately you genuinely can't get the best of both worlds really as a proper semi will be uncomfortable and noisy on a mainly road car and a road tyre will give up on track.

i prefer my Janspeed to the my old miltek, better made, fits better and quieter. definitely my favourite system so far, so much so I've gone back to it after testing a load of others so its actually my second one

So refitted the lights and panels so the cover doesn't snag, wrapped her back up and went in for a consolidatory beer...... and a cry

Right, reality just came and slapped me right in the f**king plums. The underside is just not pretty at all and there's little point going any further until it's sorted. I was getting too excited about refurbishing and buying new bolt on parts when in truth I was avoiding what I knew deep down...
