Few more parts sorted this evening, track rods, rear shockers, oil cooler and driveshafts.
All checked, cleaned, wire wheeled, hydrate 80 treated and painted.

:ROFLMAO: if you note good Sir there are side trims on the lawn air fix picture, they've been in the car about 4 years so that's enough side trim, dosage complete

Built up the front hubs with calipers, discs, roll kit etc etc to test fit it all plus easier to store now too!
New Brembo disc fitted to hub, and cleaned up the grub screws
Caliper carrier fitted, cleaning up bolts and thread holes as we go
Caliper bolted up, sliders etc all cleaned and...
Bit more progress, cleaned up the bargain samco hoses, autoglym engine degreaser first, then soak in washing powder bath and quick scrub. Then many many rinsings

Then trial fitted the 172 inner rods to the mk1 manual rack and all good, so just need to acquire some new...
wrong, well for me anyway, much prefer the dynamics of the mk1, find it much less snappy and more predictable on the limit.
although the running gear from the mk2 is better and far more options, so that's why my car is fitted with it all, lol!
