ive got 2 conti sport contacts on the front of my 172 the now because i killed my Eagle F1s and got no cash left for another 2 for now! but to be honest the conti's are actually pretty awesome! and in no hurry to replace them now!
so you could run a dci on this s**t? i need a run about to get to work and back and work in a supermarket where i can order s**t loads of this stuff at discount!
conversions only worth it if your doing it yourself tbh.
when i done my engine i changed oil & oil filter, plugs, air filter, coil pack, clutch, clutch cable, cambelt and water pump, aux belt along with new suspension bushes, suspension top mounts, track rod ends etc felt like a brand new car...
been through loads on my last 2 cars both cars were down on power compaired to panel filters and standard airbox's
neather sounded that great, slight bit louder than removed acoustic valve but not worth the power loss!
mine got done at work last week cost me £300 to sort out, happened the same month my road tax, insurance, 36k service and 2 new tyres are due, and now it needs a lambda sensor lol.
its a c**t, if it happens again at work then its time to buy a run about car because someone keyed my black...
car went into garage under warranty with engine managment light on and flat spots, since its a toyota garage they couldnt find fault so it went to renault to the CLIP, turned out to be the "upstream o2 sensor" so toyota garage phoned their extended warranty company and its not covered under...
nice choice mate same as me but ive got an 03 plate, my exhaust fell off couple of months ago at just over 24k, was covered by warranty though because i bought it from a dealer.
when i used to hammer f**k out my 1.2 16v all the time i got 280 miles to a tank of petrol, the 172 gets 250 miles to a tank driving it the same so its not any worse on petrol tbh, infact i get better mpg around town in my 172 than i did in my 1.2
anyone know if anyones remaped one of these...
ive got standard airbox and ITG pannel filter and removed the acoustic valve to get some more noise, sounds as good as a cone filter but cost me nothing! (well the ITG i had to buy but would sound the same with a standard filter!)
they dont advise you to use one grade and use a different, they tell you exactly what grade(s) of oil is acceptable for the engine and they use it, as long as its of the recomended spec its fine.
renault service your car to THEIR specification, if you want to have it serviced differently take...
no need for that.
as edde said they stamp your service book and use the oil specified by renault, at the end of the day it was them who designed your engine, they wont use 10w40 if they dont think its up to the job for such a "high performance" engine.
im all for using decent oil, i used...
noticed mine starting to knock and bang in 3rd gear as it scrambles for traction when overtaking!
had one of our MK3 1.2 16v's sideways tonight on a big roundabout
considering silvers boring i love iceberg, i had to buy mine after seeing it under the showroom lights!
but my favourite would have to be Racing Blue i think
