the mount your car has is what my car had as standard (1.2 16v)
the 172/182 mount is a twisted one.
you simply remove your mount and bolt the twisted 172/182 one in place, its a straight swap.
i recomend the k-tec uprated bushes though make a massive difference.
James, k-tec dont sell an...
whats that bar on the nut holding the mount on at the gearbox? going forward out the pic? mine didnt have that!
but yep a 172 mount fits straight on instead of that one, straight swap!
maby he doesnt want a real v6 tho? maby he doesnt like the mk2?
in my opinion the guys a legend, rear mounting an engine isnt the easyest job to do lol
Ben R thought the 2.0 TB would make a difference when i looked into it.
to be honest, it wont lose you power, all it can do is gain you power so why not eh?!
looking good and nice and low as usual
Got my mate a VTR Spoiler for his saxo 1.4 today, standard they bolt on through 2 hole drilled in the back window (im not drilling holes in his back window lol) so going to bond it on for him.
whats the best stuff to use? its coming back from getting painted at the end of the week, is it ok to...
jap crap lol
yeah because most hondas go thru 4 exhausts in their first year like your average 172/182 lol
i love 172/182s infact just clios in general but hondas and most jap cars in general are a different league.
very VERY nice project, hats off to the guy for building that.
only one thing that puts me off is... ive heard it doesnt matter what suspension you put on a punto they still just dont handle, cant imagine 300+bhp helping that lol
still a very nice car tho
garage always put mine on to tight too, i just use my big shiney snap-on guy, it doesnt have much problem!
jumped on my mums wee s**tey renault bar thing when i didnt have mine at hand and it just snapped :S and as all the guys who know me will back me up on, im only 8.5 stone! lol hers was...
ive got PIAA sidelights which i rate very very highly, glow same colour as xenons but dont look shite and blue like they silly cheap blue things
got Osram CoolBlue headlights bulbs, well had, one only lasted 6months then died (after changing the battery, could have been related i dont know?)...
wish they looked as good during the day as they do at night as id have a set! (the angel eyes i mean btw not the bulbs)
as for the bulbs if they glow properly etc then black
Well my cars been off the road with a fuked rocker cover gasket, water pump and downpipe flexi for 3 weeks now (been waiting on a sports cat coming from k-tec to fix the flexi problem, they have been very good keeping me updated despite the wait)
anyway got the weekend off work and got my work...
not sure if there all the same but i sat in seans when he got his buckets fitted and when i pressed the clutch it was really heavy compaired to my 1.2 but then didnt notice any difference between mine and gibsons when i drove his 2003 mk2 172 with 30k on the clock (my 1.2 clutch has done about...
wouldnt bother taking liner out if you drive it in winter, i had my passengers one out as it was rubbing on 185/55's when i had them and it filled my headlight and foglight up with water as well as f**king my horn lol!!
fitted front fogs, wired them up, fitted new steering stalk with fog light switch.
only one thing left to do, put a fuse in the fuse box and were ready to go, or are we?!?!?!
the fuckin fuse box doesnt take a fuse for the front fogs where it says it should (where every dynamique has a fuse!)...
first john now you whats this new trend with all the 15" boys getting cars with 16's!!!! lol only kiddin man
in the last 6 months ive spent £3,500 fixing mine!!!!!! went and looked at a MINT black 1.4 16v dynamique for £5000 which i could easily afford but just because its reg wasnt SL02 VNB i...
ive got this problem after the last time i dropped the subframe and the steering disconnected.
you cant just unbolt the wheel, straighten it and bolt it back on afaik as it only fits one way, the teeth arnt identical all the way round.
you need to set up the car with the steeringwheel...
i went thru 2 then bought a 172 one and put powerflex polly bushes in it (Avalible from k-tec) 2nd best mod ive done after suspension. £30 something i payed for the 172 mount and fits straight on.
depends how much balls each driver has in bends.
keep the 1.2 above 3,500-4000k in the bends and it would have the edge over the extra torque that the dci has to pull out bends. in my opinion
i know for a fact mine could go round a twisty track pretty quick but its very well set up and no...
