worn/fuked syncro in the box. best bet is to put a recon box in it or get yours rebuilt. not sure if you can just change the fuked syncro in the box or not, im not up on gearboxes
lol i do about 500 miles a week and thats just driving for the sake of it, my works only 2 miles away lol im at 130k now, well was untill my car fuked up on me tonight
maual sunroof is a c**t especially on a solid suspension set up lol rattles like fuk!
best thing is no sunroof but only on extreme 4/campus and 172/182's and extreme4/campus is nothing on a dynamique
will check it tomorrow, but everyone knows im talking about the lower gearbox dog bone mount here and not the mount under the battery?! im getting confused lol
you think there better but go nail both cars down the same backroad braking heavy and see which is better, new clio being heavyer with smaller brakes will likely fade quicker
brakes that put you thru the windscreen arnt always "good" brakes, brakes that put u thru the windscreen time and time...
millage isnt an issue really, mine is on 130k and sound (well appart from my little engine mount issue i had tonight but could have happened on any millage lol)
only thing been replaced on mine is clutch which is expected and coil pack along with the usuals like brakes, wheel bearings etc...
does the bolt go thru a hole into a bolt or does it screw into the gearbox, seems to me like it screws into the gearbox off the top of my head but too dark to check.
1.4 16v and 1.6 16v come with "sports" suspension but you wont noice a difference in my opinion, think they have thicker anti roll bars or at least 1.6 16v does, later 1.6 16v's 2003 53 plate (i think) onwords have rear disks same as 172/182
spec inside is the same as a 1.2 16v which is...
yep gearbox mount from a 172, different but similar apparently stronger, does look it, i bought it for powerflex bushes in it and never got round to fitting them, ended up fitting it with standard bushes
little black box that covers the ecu loom fell off ages ago how is this related? cheers mate
not sure if it makes any difference but it has a 2.0 16v 172 engine mount on it not the standard one
fred, whats needing done to sort it, know plenty people who would probably know what to do just too late to contact any of them tonight just want a bit of an idea!!
cheers mate,
might take that gearbox of yours if you still have it if its more hastle than its worth to fix
was picking up my sister tonight from her mates, she stays in a farm! very bumpy road and think i might have caught the ground, was pulling out the junction onto the road when i got a loud clunk, gearstick moved a good bit and exhaust got much louder.
crawled home and checked it at home, on...
nothing grips like a set of Yokohama A539s, thats my next tyres after having a shot of a mates clio with them.
Eagle F1s are apparently good, getting a set from evil john hopefully tomorrow when i buy his old dynamique wheels with them fitted. seemed fine on gibsons 172, he always uses them...
turbochargers run off the exhaust so you get lag waiting on the turbo spooling up but a supercharger runs off the engine via a belt so theres no lag waiting on it spinning up
thats a MK2, MK3 is the newest shape one (197 shape)
it can be done with enough money but not really worth it, better selling the clio, buying a civic/integra then supercharging it, even at that its still going to cost a fukin bomb and thats BEFORE insurance!
ive got 2 14" steel wheels on the front of my car the now because i cant afford 2 new tyres yet on my 15s and it feels really spongey!
the apex kit is solid, mine doesnt budge so i dont know what i could be, the tyres are hte only thing i can think of. get some 15"s with 195/50 tyres on them
you dont use a panel filter with an induction kit.
the panel filter goes in your standard airbox, the induction kit replaces the airbox and standard filter.
be aware tho that no matter how many cold air feeds you have, the induction kit will suck in hot air and will lose performance, you...
R5 wheels are a nice touch because of the engine but personally id get some new wheels from a performance point of view, some lightweight 15" wheels (Team Dynamics Pro race 1.2s or OZ F1 Cups maby) with some good tyres like Goodyear eagle F1s or Yokohama A539s to give it plenty grip in the...
Getting a PC (with the transformer, plug etc) for christmas but need to buy the actually materials myself.
now i dont mind spending £150+ if needed on car cleaning stuff, if thats whats needed. been having a look on car wash n wax but not completely set on what i want/need.
could someone put...
