i've had the Impreza , it was tuned to 285 bhp, my cup is more fun ...
Powerwise the Impreza made me smile when i floored it but the Cup is more fun throwing around and it's nearly as fast because of it's weight. The Impreza is just heavy and it feels heavy too
 just managed to loosen the two bolts so the bar is out...
I weighed the piece of carpet + plywood (that sit over the place where the sparewheel is supposed to go) and the bar ; they come to 5 or so kilograms . Tommorow i will weigh the rest (seats) that comes out of the back :approve...
cheers, just wanted to know if there were'nt any obstructions under the car that i did'nt know about... second thought i had was rusty ends.. not too bad then i hope
i noticed when removing the seat-part that it's already superlightweight ; how many kg are we talking about with the backrest...
do i have to destroy the back of my car ? I've quit smoking and if the little buggers wo'nt turn i will not be patient enough
Is the grinder seriously needed ? Want to be able to bolt the stuff back on when selling car...
Are these the only two bolts i'll be destructing or are there...
I'm starting to loose some weight in the Cup (172) before i put in Sparco's in the front.
Am at it right now in fact ; is it just the case of removing/loosening the two tox/bolts visable in the trunk ?
I was just loosening them and they do come loose but they seem to turn really heavy the...
i've had both , Toyo Proxes and now riding the Michelins..
Michelin beats the Toyos by FAR . In dry Toyo is pretty good, in the wet they really suck in comparison to the Exaltos.
Wet or dry does'nt seem to make a difference with the Michelins :) excellent in both conditions
For me...
Henk was this the improved midrange map we were talking/mailing about last time ?
Also for RON98 ? I think Maurice has told me about this ....
It's time i got myself this gadget me thinks :)
yes you need a map, preferably a custom job because you want to benefit from diffrerent filter.. these are expensive though, couple of hundred pounds for sure as you'll need RR testing andallthat.........
Most people find that original filterhousing can't be beat
...but seriously ; i agree you can just as well remove one of the pipes from the box... same effect. May get a bit of warm air in there when in slow moving traffic
these are the bolts..... when imagining the top hole slotted (oval)..... ; the bolt is useless then indeed (although you'll be able to run a silly 5degree negative camber)
thanks a million !
this is exactly what i was thinking because when i looked at the slotted holes and then tried to imagine it working with camberbolts i could not see how and directly knew i would'nt be needing them at all !!! Regular bolts work just as well . Want to get my 50 euros back...
yes this is true.. last week i fitted the H&R's and the car got stupidly much negative camber , the toe-in went crazy high. It was almost undrivable !
Had to go and do an emergency setting just to be able to drive it back home, a lot less negative camber (0,7 negative) and as you said ...
H&R
I'm very convinced these are the better sets for the Clio. Drive is incredible , sticks like mad.. not losing too much comfort though. Quality !!
price is around 700/750pounds (costs 1000 euro around here in Holland)
Remmen is deel van de sport
check your read out ; it's interesting how much different a drive the car is with toe-out or toe-in ! Just 1 degree difference in or out ; massive change !
Maybe i'll also go 1.3 neg on camber as i've got 0.6 now ; not very noticable..
almost forgot...
Chris , what camber are you running to which toe-in/out ?
I'm thinking of going 1 degree negative camber with 1 degree toe in.
Really liked 1 degree toe-in on the original setup... dont know about camber settings yet though . Only what i've read on here about 1 degree negative being enough...
thanks guys ; i know the bolts are extra, mounted them already.. Thing is, when having the oval holes (top ones) it is already possible setting camber WITHOUT the camberbolts, you can adjust by using the regular bolts....
Believe me , we were looking at it for 15 minutes trying to find...
yes these did peperami
the bolts are to be ordered optionally.
I've read of some guys on here with the camberbolt setup running quite serious negative camber, but cannot search and my short-term memory seems to be fucked
I just fitted the set !
left the front the way they came set up out of the box (ride height). when they settle should be low enough i think ?
Also bought the camberbolts.
I found that adjusting camber is quite difficult... I just wanted to keep it a bit neutral so that i'll...
when garage wants a fast easy job, they do the tracking on 1 side of the car and not both.. for example they turn the wheel until the left wheel is pointing straight forward (this side is done!) and then do tracking on the right... voila , tracking is done !
Wheels are allright ; need a little more 'filling" though... one more spoke or so. Too much "see-through" and the brakes are just too small to look at on a clio
