want a good car, not a car that makes a supernice noise ...when it even runs.....
i've gotten wiser ; the later tuscon models 2002 etc. are the ones to have ; supposed to be nice + reliable
affordable and sexy also
anyway, i think this will be nicer when my hair has gone a bit grey...
Looks less atractive today... loads of em for sale which i dont like.
thinking they are also possible rust-buckets
still hope to take one out for a spin around the block (when allowed) to see how the handling is
does it give advantage when having the 182manifold going under the the subframe instead of the 172 mani going up over the subframe ?
for example easy fitting sportscat/decat and back to original when Mot ?
thank you for helping me dream on about this next moneypit mate ; i'm going to have a look on Pistonheads !
Maybe even cheaper for me to import one myself:approve:
and when having it as a second car + getting a different insurance to lower costs ?
so not everyday driving i'm talking about and yes with the occasional thrashing ofcourse
what are the probs with this 354 bhp beauty ?
Imagine this slammed a bit , on bigger wheels ...
(im 36 ...
Not the right place to post this but hope this is okay, mods help me out ? :o i'm no member so i cannot put up my post in "other marques"

Sorry peeps ; it's in dutch ... suddenly i fell in love as i really like the body of this car ...
You've got a garage there full of beauty and sexy blinkers
loose as much weight (get rid of climate  ) on your blue bullet there and voila there's your Cup
and yes ; slamming would be recommended as then it will look so very good, even better then now . Stick some H&R under...
6 to 7000 , up and around there ? sometimes sounds like it does'nt really pick up that great in next gear due to low rpm
not critisising mate, just wondering
i checked out a German site that sells the Group N stuff for rallye ; the enginemounts all round would have come to 1200euro or i believe sometthing like 750 pounds
these will make your car a terrible daytoday drive though... vibrations will make you go mad. Will be a lot of fun driving...
Re: 50% complete 172RWD!
just got back home from work, poured myself a stiff drink and read myself up to date again on one of my favorite threads
nice to see these project cars; creative minds at work here  respect !
right now i'm running the standard airbox (phase 2) with the bottom airfeed removed, the top one still there. ITG panel also there . The car goes like a train, throughout the rpmrange. It's really the best setup, original, + i've tried a couple of different IK's...
 go on Neal hahhahhah :D :approve:
i think he wants to say this has been discussed to death, the acoustic valve thingy.
No gains to be had, some say it's less nippy-er on the throttle with it removed. Misses bit o torque
seems that the mounting of these bushes causes stress on the other mounts; bad news.
also vibrations when at idle will vbrate thus being uncomfortable.
Better stick to stock ;) , change more often. Will be cheaper
Hi all,
Last time i read of somebody noticing a "whining noise" when starting the car which gets less worse or dissapears when warm.
Since a couple of months this is also the case on my 2003 cup(64k), i've also noticed the fluidlevel for the powersteering has gone down a couple of...
