Hello Holland !
I've discussed this with the guy who sells them in Holland, he's from around Utrecht . I thought his price was too high especially compared to the known quality of Angelworks. I´m thinking of getting them done by Angelworks and get them by post it will still be cheaper !?
He´s...
Re: 50% complete 172RWD!
third picture ; ..notice the guy just standing there admiring his work.... are you jacking off there mate ? drooling over the back engine bay ?
i can inderstand cause her rear end is very good looking
*****EDIT***** what's this, it's a different car !!!!!?????
Re: 50% complete 172RWD!
oh my, that third piccie with the engine in looks too sexy !!!!!
this thread should be XXX rated, moderators if you please !!??
thinking Lambda as well with your emission light on ... it will be the first one , precat. the second one can go and not giving any problems management-wise..
running too much camber is going to make your car not so nice on the straights, mind this..
(you'll be doing everyday driving a lot wo'nt you ? too much camber will irritate after a while cause you're car will start "searching" ; wanting to blast through curvywirly's )
please post up your...
Who told you this ? Have'nt heard this yet. Shed some light mate !?
**edit** i've read about the 182 being bust; it ran high pressure do'nt forget.. this 172 lowboost is as safe as it gets when talking turbo setup..
anyway; there's nobody driving one yet, and i'm going to be saving up for...
link do'nt work... does'nt matter; anybody with half a brain can find it on search
Fred perhaps you'll be reading this; will this also be nessescary when mounting new coilovers (H&R) or was this ment for the original setup only ? No probs with the lowered cars or do they suffer the same...
there goes what counts, you should use the finfteen inch lightweight wheels, it'will be very noticabel on acceleration also there's a bit more comfort
if the Speedlines are over the weight of the turinis i would'nt put them on , i'd go for the 16inch..
also software has to be right. I drove their car and it's lovely. Smoothe as before but when you hit the gas it's fun through the whole RPM range ! And it will stay together just fine when behaving with the gearbox on shifts and hard pulling in first
The box will be the thing to watch out...
low boost turbokit for the 172 from Mb Engineering for 2600 pounds mate, reliable one it is.. no internal enginechanges required ! It's running 0,5 bar pressure, exactly what youre looking for !
Do search for lowboost turbo conversion
anyone will be okay.. just used to the idea of foam because when i had the scooby the cotton ones had to be oiled and this could kill the boxer  (MAF sensor defect because of oil-deposit from filter, engine running lean, possible end of engine follows)
i think the bigger size of airbox/filterhousing will give a bit of "play" when blipping throttle. think it needs this or it may be too restrictive in means of fast throttleresponse ? With the bigger space there will be a little air-reserve built up for next throttle-opening.
as Doug said...
You can nicely use that piece of tube you've already got there in the pic. Probably will fit to your airbox. Run it somewhere down below the headlight at the wheelarch. maybe your old feedconnectors are still there.
Take off the wheel, dismount the protecting...
it's a brand name, just like K&N panel filter --- ITG panel filter
Yes, CAF (cold air feed)-mod might be worth going for (standard airbox!), slightly larger/wider diameter.
