this could be faulty thermostat . i hope i'm stating this correctly, i'm dutch :S .
It's the valve in the watercoolantsystem that opens up to let water through when it reaches temp.
could be it
not a big deal
this (aeroform from simota-site) is the one i've got ; again, one hell of a sound  (too much for a 36year old..)
it's 2 months old; i'll send it over for 150 ;)
mind you, halfway is good. When running the car whilst cold, you'll see the temp going up, but you can also see when the themostat (?) opens up to let the water run through the system, after which you'll see your temp gauge go down again.. this happens a couple of times untill your engine's...
I've searched and found that for a proper nice set-up this is needed ?
How does this work, why is this important ?
(so that i do'nt forget to mention/ask for it at the tyrecentre when balancing + tracking)
cheers all, advice needed as they will be here any day now :D
ps; i've already...
leave it on there...
better to try the phase 1 airbox with larger airfeeds.
This will loose you the valve anyway.
Besides the engine running shitty when cold, you'll maybe loose torque down below which is'nt what you want is it ?
there's a thread "more air means more power" , maybe...
when cold , my Clio runs pretty horrible. When the valve is'nt there you'll be scooping up even more cold air and that's what i meant with the terrible cold ride, it may be worst ..
could be wrong, this is what i've read
As mentioned above, how did you mount your lightweight buckets ?
We are talking about the non-adjustable type .
Did you keep the rail-system so you'd still be able to move back/forward , or did you mount the brackets straight onto chassis ?
The man at the shop recommended me to loose the...
Nope, you're wrong there because when i did this last time i actually got flames from the exhaust and gained around 12,4 hp
seriously,
i've read that it also helps the engine warm up better, when removing you'll find it even more terrible a cold ride.
For the rest i'd think it will gain you a...
Re: clio cup race car project!
just did a search, it's for sale for 3000
let me shake my moneytree....
nope, it's autumn so i guess all of it's gone with the wind :(
Re: clio cup race car project!
"bits like gearbox with the race version i.e sadev sequential etc."
Do'nt want to foul up your topic , but how much would such a gearbox cost for someone who is'nt an insider ? Second hand, or is this a no no ?
25kg !?!?!?! A piece ?!
are you sure mate, are'nt these the 172 seats you're talking about ? (leather/alcantara?)
definately a very good gain to be had here if you're right !
Ofcourse the backseat is going.. how much is that one ?
Hi all,
Anyone know how much these standard Cup seats weigh ?
Thinking of putting in some Sparco's or something, weighing 7,5 kg (15pounds) because these Cup seats are also the worst to sit in..
Because it's another lot of cash i would really like to know if there's anything to gain...
recirculating ones are supposed to be better as they (maybe) keep the turbo going a little bit, cause of the recirculating blow off. Open one does'nt. (and are gay)
with the decat and remap, group N for instance, you'll feel the car has more power from down below. Get a ITG panel filter with these, and you'll be happy for the next couple of gallons
It felt great on my Cup, you have a nicer exhaust manifold !
45 minutes.. so subframe needs tooling.. s**t..
I'll see what my friend has to say about this as i'll be borrowing his bridge .. it was his idea anyways, the decat ;)
Been thinking of getting the straight through decat pipe.
Is it an easy fit ?
I've heard that the subframe needs tooling for this ?
Right now running a Orbisoud sportcat, feel like trying something different again. Phase 1 airbox with larger intake pipes and decat.
advice please
When doing the camber, how do i know where to stop adjusting ? Not that i have left/right different camber ...
Sounds allright to drive around first to get an impression.
Did you fix anything on the shocks for dirt/dust , like the original set-up ?
