Going back to the original post... I think it is a good advert for who it is aiming at. People keep forgetting that the 197 is the entry level car, it is the born again 172. It is a rounder, softer car for someone who likes cars but doesn't neccessarily love them.
I can't blame Renault for...
When i had my Mini next to my 172 it did look better too...
I'm not keen on the darker shade of the alloys though dude, i love those 5 spokes in their normal finish.
To be honest if you get the rear bumper, colour code and get coilovers on it will look like a Sport model until you get close. You can also get the Sport style sideskirts, there is a dude with a green 1.4(?) which has them and some Cup wheels and it basically looks like a 172 to me!
I was speaking to a Trophy owner yesterday and he said teh ride was quite bad on the road, until you go fast! I could swear EVO said it had a great ride...
The guy also had a Boxster S, a stock broker type...so maybe they get bored of their little toys quickly!
My Clio has been full of s**t over the last couple of days, feels like its flying since i've emptied it! I guess you trade a bit of straightline speed for nice sticky tyres...
Was at Silverstone today and was suprised to see quite a few Clios, two which were defo from CS! I even shared a garage with a Trophy, although my Clio didn't go out...i was in the NSX. After half a day of fine tuning set up it was amazing! Anyway, here are the photos:
My 172 and the Trophy...
Totally know where you're coming from! It's frustrating, but then when you read about some 17 year old dead in a ditch you can start to understand it...
I'd like to see a new driver get insured for under a few grand with these cars mentioned!
Basically unless you're going to be on one of your parent's insurance you're living in a dream world fella. Not that driving a 1.2 is a bad thing IMO. The out going Clios are nippy, good looking and most...
Dude...we need to meet up!
Well done for going for something that extreme, a well set up one will be great fun and needn't be scary. They can recover from silly angles.
Make sure you get it rigged up with bullet cams and get on the next Breakfast Run!
