seeing as this thread has died on its arse i took the plunge and ordered my FK's today. for a 1.2 16v 2003 ive paid £455 delivered.
ordered them from an awesome bloke who runs www.2modified.com
He also does spax coilovers and H&R coilovers at the cheapest prices i could find. If...
i'll have a set of standard mk2 ph2 sidestrips available soon once i've finished my mini project on a spare set i've bought.
Pm me if your interested.
car looks nice. did i see it on ebay.. it just looks familiar :)
Mines a black 53 plate dynamique with a carbon bonnet black wheels, 172 bumper, v6 spoiler and renault sport sides. I'll keep my eye out for your car dan!
after a week back at uni theres quite a few clios. most of them are a bit barryboy, but theres a black mk1 (non valver i think) that is very nice. has the angel eye headlights, obligatory wheels and lowering with subtle exhaust.
ive got them on my car and they dont seem to be that bad. arent as good as i was expecting. in the dry they have quite good grip (better than a cheaper tyre) but no noticeable difference in the rain.
mk1's are better from the outside (when a valver up spec wise) but from comfort and interior i'd always go for a mk2 as the mk1 dash is plain nasty IMO of cause lol.
Basically I need all of the people with a mark 2 billabong interior, who have had problems with some white staining with water to help me out in proving there is a fault with the interior in court. Renault uk says that there is no documented evidence of any complaints about this fault, bar me...
probably best to stick with your current set-up as performance pads (being a harder compound) can lead to standard discs warping.
not sure if all performance pads do this, but to be honest i'd leave it until they've worn, and get a new set of discs and pads.
my V6 spoiler doesnt catch at all on my 1.2 16v.
fitment was absolutely direct replacement. washer jet doesnt need lengthening, and the black light went straight in.
i was told that they had changed their underwriter so that modifed cars weren't allowed. however, when i rung them to query it they stated that i could add modifications to my policy. i therefore sent them a letter and they confirmed the modification was allowed (was a carbon bonnet about 3...
lol it isnt, however i never buy anything at full rrp :p so the viper was good value for money. i was interested in the fuel pressure regulator myself but now you mention it ive only seen them on the older clio 2s.
altho its a waste of money i could be tempted by cams, because i dont like...
how come hillpower sell a fuel pressure regulator? and FSE power boost valves fit? that not the right thing.
i also found the viper makes a small but noticeable difference over the K&N panel filter i had before.
also 150 quid for dbilas cams, might give them a ring lol

ring one of their UK dealers directly, means your cutting out the middle man. they also offer a delivery service from the manchester branch for 8quid.
