well its weird mate, it has no rattles at all, and drives really nicely, doesn't use any oil or water, and is good for its age, still revs like hell, and goes really really well, alot better than most 172's, quicker that two iv raced and 2 182s too, so not bad
need a few bits doing mate, but...
its not mine, it will be road driving, but something a bit better than std, as even after a brake fluids change the brakes are horrible, but it needs to be something that doesnt take much heating up, is there a pad thats between std and something like the DS's?

Is the dogbone mount the same as on the mk1 16v/williams? they look the same

never had the sump off a 172, is it an easy job guys?
mines doesn't need doing but as im spending the day doing some bits in the workshop im thinking is it worth popping it off and cleaning it out?
i bought some, and i find it lasts quite well if i dont need to use my washers, but if i spray my windscreen,the screenwash i use (VW) must make it must come off, its good but there is better on the market, and you need to use alot of it to get it to work
