gave her a wash today, full fluid and pressure check, and few more bits n pieces and i realised iv not posted any pics in months, so here ya go
note nice un tatty steering wheel
Note the colour of my wheels, i chose a slightly darker silver, makes it look different,but...
it does seem a great idea, i think though on its own it wont give a huge amount of extra power but group a few small mods like this together that can make a good difference
btw nice work as always jay :)
dont bother with those chap, iv just replaced these on my ph1, i used std renault bushes and its tightened up the sterring but i still get the knocking,i bet its the manifold hitting the subframe
AGREED^^^^^^^^ my old hybrid had no carpets and rear seats but everything still in including dash, glass, roof lining etc, and had a remap, exhaust and filter and usedto run 14.1 @ 99mph all day long with 13.8@101 being the best
abs, air con, elec windows, central locking, alarm, and the rear wiper wipes when you habve the wipers on and you select reverse lol, thats about it!
best colour too ;)
damn right mate, my g-tec says 6.58 0-60 on mine :) (my best being 6.48) and thats only with a cat back exhaust and decent tyres , though bet id still have proper trouble loosing your saxo
look have a funny blue clio and you own a paxo they will never be faster than mine for 3 reasons:
1: mines a blk ph1 and everyone knows there faster
2: higher mileage cars with stone chips go faster
and 3 its a blk ph1 lol :rasp:
i need to get some sleep im starting to loose it........
well its sucking in air from somewhere badly, the breathers are supposed to have some fumes in but not black smoke, id say at a stab in the dark possibly piston ring wear, causing too much crankcase pressure, would explain the smoking breathers
the 4th is under the gearbox, between the box and subframe chap, held one with one big bolt from underneath
pulling it forwards pulls it away from the subframe as this usually hits
i can see good and bad points from both sides chap, if i had the money and i had to stick with a mk1 id go with a 172 lump and running gear, though my old hybrid was brilliant, pulled as hard at 2k as it did at 6k, though after 12k miles i blew 2nd gear syncro, and that was a recon box lol, my...
oh and look at a willy head chap, maybe a bit of money on your engine might be worth it, get it checked out, it might be a great engine with a miss match of parts?
then you want a 172 lump with breathing mods mate, stripped and will be plenty enough for track days :)
id say ring all the usual tuners and bat them against each other, see who will do it the cheapest, i reccomend hill power but im not sure if nick will do that, he built and fitted the engine...
