    BIG SPOILERS and TOP SPEEDS

oops, my spelling! revised version! since lift is generated over a cars whole body and there is a singular point where the higer lift is felt, so youd have to find that first.

    BIG SPOILERS and TOP SPEEDS

yes. Not to mention that the actual increase in downforce will not be outweighed by the increase in drag. Not to mention the fact that amatuer aerodynamics can serioulsy affect how a car handles at speed. you could end up with a light front and sticky rear.

    BIG SPOILERS and TOP SPEEDS

um, they dont go together. it is possible to create downforce with minimal drag increases, but you generally have to have an f1 car on the drive.

    Can you help

no, i go to a dedicated wheel/tyre plate, i use motorsport wheels, thye have good tracking gear. I cant think of any parts that would give those syndromes, especially the steering not centering.
  12. BenR

    oh dear

    haha

    oh dear

only you!!! LMAO! must really confuse others! i like their talk of how Rens are good build quality! see, take it from the experts, it is!

    Coilovers on dynamique (again)

um, i think your mate is misinformed. For 880 quid, no shocks will have auto adjusting high and low speed bump/rebound. For that money, you get a decent fixed rate set of shockers and the spring plates threaded onto the shock body, dont think they are racing spec stuff, cause they aint, far...

    oh dear

Looks like craggy is slowly defecting!

    Induction kits cause lean running...

Paul, the lambda sensor does not work all the time. The engine only runs closed loop (i.e. the lamba check a.f ratio and its kept in check with live adjustments to keep it stoichiometric) up to a relatively low rpm level. Cats only work at a certain a/f ration which is about 15:1 (emissions...

    urrrrgh, BenR u were right!!!

Thats true, do you have new ones on the back and semi worn ones on the front? Try swapping them, you might get that twitchy rear your looking for.

T-reg Elise, thankyou very much indeed...

LOL, you really need to publish some of your theories!

    rear shocks leaking

new rear is 50 quid ex VAT.
  20. BenR

    urrrrgh, BenR u were right!!!

i find the contis fantastic, progressive and you can slide the rear a b*****d, totally fluid and not used anything else on the MK2. Didnt need to, kept up with many a car on them, nowt wrong really. rd tyres dont need scrubbing in! they havea little shine on them which is gone after a few...

    Can you help

you cant adj the castor nor camber independantly on the clio, as far as i know. I had similar problems on my fiesta. The toe was so masively out, that when turning out of a tight corner, or from parking etc, the wheel would fall to full lock on the right side, and it wondered all over the...

Anybody have a willy exhaust on a 16V

nope, dont want LOUD! lol.....track days have limits So, by that reasonning, i can keep my 16V decat and just put the willy system on the back. THen sell on the willy decat etc. as long as the flange after tha cat is the same, im fine. Ta!
  25. BenR

    ...just bought some spring compressors...

oops! lol yea, the rear springs are a 5 min affair. front are still dead easy. Spring compressors are about 20 quid

    Engine change

i really dont see the point in engine conversions at all.....total waste of time.

    anybody using optimax

    why should it reduce consumption?
  28. BenR

    16v boot

yes, std on all phs 2s and itll fit
  29. BenR

    Chip. Raising the limiter

That is PRECISELY the benefit!!! thank god somebody said that. Eventhough the power tails off, its still making power, it doesnt drop to zero. You can still keep accelerating, and mid corner at 100mph, a shift might not be the best idea. Top man Jon
