^^^^^ - Good point edde - especially keeping the car as a track virgin too.
Hmmmm. I think I'll stick with non-grooved ones then....
Cheers for all the feedback guys! :)

So, so true. Seems to be the way of things, these days. :dapprove:
Having said that, pepsi - I don't think you've done anything wrong - just made the best out of an unexpected situation. Fair play to you.
Yet we also end up with situations like what Taylor says. She comes off the worst (by...
Having had it confirmed that my original set of discs and pads have long since seen better days, I was after some suggestions for replacements?
I could just reorder original Reno spec parts, but I'm guessing that better spec stuff isn't much more to buy?
Any thoughts or ideas would be...
Maybe its a compatibility issue? Have you right-clicked on iTunes and ticked the box that says 'Run the program as administrator' in the Compatibility tab?
Both BF2 and BF2142 refuse to run on Vista Ultimate, until you do that...

What colour are the alloys? Standard grey or anthracite?
Although not a definite way of telling as a few non-Cup suspension 182s have the anthracite alloys fitted by the owner - it's usually a good indicator.

Be very, very careful with this then. If the worst did happen and some scally nicked your car, you would be left empty handed.
I've personally heard of someone selling their car (and not renew the insurance) and then he got jumped on at the test drive. Three lads stole it and the police never...
Looks really bad - I hope no water & crap got sucked into the engine?
How did you manage on petrol, being stuck for that long!
Glad you got back ok, though. :)

I'm doing well this week!
Not only did I get a first drive of Stevie's Ph.1 172, but after finishing work today, but Chris (Chris & Nic) brought his modded 172 Cup around for me to have a go.
Apart from the obvious lightening of the car with it being stripped out and fitted with...
Looks SO much better just being that tad bit lower. :approve:
I'd like to do the same. But then I'd want a different exhaust, a different set of alloys, some mods to the engine, etc. And then when do you stop?!

I don't know if others agree, but I try to keep the water & soap mix really quite warm. It makes the clay much more malleable and easier to use, imo.
And R30BC - it really does look awful after claying. That's when the PC comes out!

It's sad the amount of things that go through my head when I park up - I'm almost convinced I have OCD about it ;). What's parked at the side - what type of car (4x4s & vans are a no-no) - babyseats in the cars - even wind direction if it's really bad. The amount of cars I see getting whacked by...
Yep - should be fine. Just the larger boot spoiler of the Mk2 V6 would be a final consideration.
Personally, I think you should be slapped with a wet fish for even considering putting a bike rack on the rear of Vee - but hey, it's your car! :rasp:

No, we're not all gay. It's a laugh - something funny which Steve has made his trademark!
Personally, hats friggin' off to him. He's got bigger balls than me (no pun intended - or maybe? ;)) to do anything like that....
And ja.jack - WTF is that comment all about???? :S

When the little sh1ts threw an egg at my car - luckily, most of it hit the windscreen. However, even though it was late at night and I looked a tool doing it - I washed the area throughly when I got home about 5 minutes later.
As above - the problems you get with dried-on egg, means that I'd...
Similar to me m8. I got mine in the first week of December 2004, though I'd ordered it three months before! ;)
I had my previous car for 6.5 years, so the 182 has a bit to catch up on, yet.

For a proper job? I'd say two days.
I spent a good 4 hours just doing the claying bit alone - and even that, was rushed, imo.
I learnt so, so much from my first PC session. There were a lot of places where I should have taken more time and got a better result overall.

I suppose it's needed though. The amount of rear-end shunts you see on there is bloody stupid!
You'll just have to switch your hard-cornering/sideways slides to Junc. 5 instead.... ;)

Like for like and both cars standard, the turning circle of a Vee is much worse than a 182.
Australian three-trailer road trains have been known to out-turn a V6.... ;)
