    Hub nut wont go back on

    just get a thread file on it or if it is only a bit of the first thread you should be able to get away with filing it flat with a fine file.

    Bugger, what is the easiest solution.

    there was no need to drop the subframe down, you can get to the pinch bolt on the column/rack easily enough from under the car even if you are working on the floor.

    don't know what you use for brake fluid but it takes a 'while' to say the least for it to damage paintwork. also with an empty system you need clip to open the valves in the abs.
