haha, i did too, but ran out of oxygen.....its only a small setup. But for a student house, we have everything you need to fix a car, and the dining room is now a workshop, always parts everywhere, and welding, grinding babging with big hammers....the girls hate it
WHoob hooo! testing, must be ace!
i got a test with renault elf team (formula renault) this summer, hopefully im on the team, If not, i can always go back to clio cup racing.
Robbie, cheers, ill remember that. No rush with the engine, all in your own time, but im just lookin for a good solid...
i got Pi and more than ok....dont really need rising rate or progressive springs unless your a girl or old and need comfort.
Pi are the same poundage all the way
haha, in a G/box that has done thousands of miles, you might be better off sticking with normal oil. it dont make much difference, i just filled up with carlube stuff casue it was cheapest at the time. Halford stuff is expensive, as is castrol, and your gonna need 4 ltrs as its bout 3.8 or...
well, i would say about 450-500-600 depending on where you go, when i asked a fitter once and he said he could get it for about 480quid. but H&r are brill, but not fully performance devoted, they still incorporate a little comfort, but saying that, there still much better than stock, bilsteins...
apart from the top up plug, i dunno if there is a drain plug, but when i changed the clutch, the drive shafts had to come out, so the oil fell out of there, its only a few bolts to get teh shaft out, left hand side one is easiest.
ANyway, topping it up was the hardest part, took ages to get...
te beauty is that i would make a bracket which would bolt to an existing bolt somwhere, so you can take it off in 2 mins flat
the bracket would hold al solenoids, facet pump, and micro switch would be easilt taken off in one bolt. only thing left in car would be the pipes, but these are under...
wel, i can have a look at your car next week just to see where we would put everything.
and do you mean that you would get it this summer, since this is when im gone, but ill be here for a little while, itll save you money.
well, the guys i got it from gave me a really good price, on the 172, it would probably be 800 quid from interpro, but 500 quid from the guys i know down south, this would inc a huge bottle of nos. And i would fit italong with a mate who, but i f i have a lok at your car i can make an estimate...
a mate resuses his stresch bolt all the time, i know its wrong but nothing has gone wrong with it, in terms of the head.....usually piston rings and crank.
1/ 15" or 16" cause that is what the chassis dasighners had in mind, just look at BTCC or the clio cup.
2/ coilovers will be hard to find.....but a set of bilstiens or konis or ledas will be more than good enough.
3/the exhaust permitting your only goin to use on box at teh back and no cat...
CLiocup: still havent caught your name yet. Have you still got the x-flow, i know its a mystery to you whats in it, but i would take it if you could be a little more sure....maybe just take off the head and sump to see crank/con rods, any head porting. As imnot too willing to part with cash on a...
its a 94, one of the first phase 2 clios. and i think,if my memory serves me right is was 52....i ordered 55 first but they didnt fit cause i measued the distance between the two bolt centres, not strut centre and lwer bolt.
if you want value for money and probably the best sounding exhaust, not to mention, one of the only real power gaining exhausts, try ashley competition exhausts, not stainless or anything, but in my opinion, the best. And deffo got it lowered quick.
hiya all, back from france now. Regarding the cams in the 172, i wouldnt bother, there isnt much more power you can get out of the F4R engine without spending thousands of pounds. If you wnted more power you would need the whole lot, cams with higher lift as the main priority, larger vavles...
im in bristol at the mo,but will be back in w.sussex this weekend, probably friday eve till sunday, so ill show you then.
got another meet this sunday so ill need to rush.
follow the suspension arm till it meets the torsion bar which goes straight across the car. At teh ends are plastic caps, under them you will see the torsion bar(it has splines on it) just dump a load of WD40 here.
the kit came from hough & sons (hoffs) in ropley near winchester.I fitted the kit soitsovedmesomemoney, but their nitroissocheap,itsabout35 quid for 12lbsofthe stuff.Dunnowhy the solenoids aresoexpensive, and the fogger is such a simple device.....oh well.
Lofty: it would fit your car,it would...
ok, admittedly its not on my clio...yet, but on my MK1 xr2 as the clio is in peices and i wont be finished for a while. Anyway, i fitted a 35bhp kit to the stock engine, and it pumps around 125bhp now with N20. Its such a simple and easy system to intall, i have no idea why they cost so much...
sorry jimbo, but i have to disagree. But on the clio cup cars, the exhaust they run is so free flowing even with the cat on, it makes anything wlse we can buy a joke. Also, the induction kit is a bit better than anything on the current market bar things like the viper. And the ECU is completly...
