    Strange handling issues - Koni shocks/standard springs - 172

IIRC, there's two Koni shock types, shorter and standard? If you've got shorter shocks, and standard length springs, I'm going to guess that the dampers are currently doing 0 as they are fully extended, and the car is just bouncing around like mental on the springs. Either that or you've...

Speedo Sensor Guide - cant find it

I can't find it either mate, I have a feeling it was just a thread with some pictures as opposed to an actual guide. If you need help finding it etc, just post up in here. Basically it's a case of unplugging the old one, pulling it out of the top of the gearbox, pushing the new one in and...

The Cup and a little new addition

Lovely looking motor, how are you finding the short shifter? I echo Scutch though, spacers next.

    First car, First ideas?

Very tidy first car that is mate, most people on here normally recommend colour coding (which yours already has done), lowering, some tidy wheels and an RS grillie. Depending upon budget I'd be putting an RS grille, (the front black grille just below the bumper, the Renault Sport Clio has a...

    Refurbed OZ F1's

Pics are working now... they look brilliant, although if it were me, I'd have done them the brightest possible silver. Who did them for you? You're not that far from me ;)

    Some b*****d hit my car...

This has happened about 5 times to me since moving house :( Meguaris Scratch X is pretty much bang on, it does as well as a by hand product can IMO. The headlight will need wet and dry, then polish etc. Get yourself a meguaris polish foam pad, then use the scratch X, finish with some SRP

    my ph1 flamer 172............new bits arrived/fitted

This last picture here: See how much of the inner arch is visible, some 20mm or so hubcentric spacers sort that right out. I've not current got the standard wheels fitted, but when I put them back on, it'll be the first thing I do. It really improves the look of the car, not to mention...

    Panda = Old Man's Car?

Sort of like the fat chick in the pub, the more you look and drink, the more you think, "yeah, go on then". ;)

    my ph1 flamer 172............new bits arrived/fitted

Lovely motor, a little bit lower, headlights polished up so they're not foggy and front wheels spaced... it'd be epic.

So ugly but.. (90's Nissan content)

God damn that is ugly. I honestly couldn't drive something that looks THAT bad, and for that reason, I'm oot.

ph 2 front door cards in a Ph 1

You need ph1 172 grab handles, then all of your issues will be solved. If not, just rewire, they're not very complicated. PM me if you want advice.

    My cars to date

I loved your green ph1, it's what made me start modifying my first mk2ph1. Nice little collection, I'm even a closet fan of the Suzuki.

    Hey you guys!

Welcome to the club. We do have some basic buyers guides on here, but if you post up specific car's you're looking at, I'm sure people will be more than willing to point out things to look out for. Generally, dependant upon age, the cambelt is the big thing to look out for, every 70k or 5...

    newbiee from Dagenham.. dwizzle1...hello all

Welcome to the club, I like it all apart from the wheels. Does look like it could be an old members car, but it doesn't ring any major bells with me.

Welcome to the club mate. I haven't been down to broadstiars in years, but a costal meet could be good.

    Budget Clio

No need to use mesh, just butcher a lower grille from a mk2 ph2 sport. Without it you'll have issues with stones etc I'd imagine. I really like it though, do it.
