ever sinse i could i have protcted my NCB but i was wondering as i just recieved a quote 50% of the price of anywhere else i find the only difference being its un-protected NCB
my question is what happens if i have an accident does my 5 years NCB drop straight too zero and i have to start all...
Greenlight insurance mate try them!!! Just got my quote through on email nearly pissed my pants they are willing to do it for £468, £300 drop on last year!!! Cheapest I had before them was £756 lol only thing I have to see is if they can protect my no claims for a bit more cash if not think I'm...
Well looks like the 172 will turn into a track **** within the next 3 years then and I'll buy a moped instead lol
Just seems madness insurance now almost as if companies can make up the rules as they go along. Surely if one company offered extremely cheap car insurance for everyone the level of...
So as most people are finding out(myself included) Car insurance has gone up quite a lot this year to say the least. My question is do you think it will carry on getting more each year that passes now or do you expect this year just to be a blip and then it will start going down again with each...
I just tried them got told I had to be over 30 as it's got a ss ktec stealth and coilovers. Sky on here look like they will be getting my money this year again
Mine has gone up by nearly £150 this year with 5 years ncb no points no accidents the joys of owning a 172 for me lol I'm going to shop around though refuse to pay more than last year
Ktec stealth like the exhaust but wished I had gone for the recessed or a yozza race system or a pea shooter style. Also when I first bought it in august 2 years back I bought a piperX open cone ik £90 and it did 2 miles and came off made the car feel like crap
had my 172 for a couple of years now first year was tough as i went from 3years ncb on a 1.2 8v diet engine to the phase 1 172, got to be honest though these cars are not that expensive to run i dont thing tyres are cheap general servicing if you dont mind getting your hands dirty is pretty...
Sky insurance on here let me declare mine as a decat and ss exhaust system. "touch wood" never had any trouble with it if I have ever get pulled I turn the car off straight away soo it doesn't stink. To be fair I think it's VOSA you need to be more worried if the pull you over, as they have all...
Yozza stealth
Ktec stealth
Or
Btb which from what has been said on here is the quietest ss exhaust on the Market not sure how much it costs though plenty of threads on all these also ktec one is a bit droney on motorways
Lower it
Matched inlets
Decat pipe with a decent exhaust system
Phase 1 Airbox or JMS one
Remap it either from the rs tuner (DIY) or get a custom map
That seems the usual things to do before going on towards mega buck things like turbo's, SC, ITB's
When you pullthe archlibet off of te drivers side there is no other cable there in the position of the accelerator cable mate uncoil the pedaland push it through the bulkhead and you will know where to pull. Have you read the guide on here
I like it just paint your wing mirror caps same orange and badges I'd like it even more. Personally I'd never give any of your uni mates lifts if they think your car is chavy let the walk in the rain/cold/snow lol
Because the 172 is built to be driven like a mad man so silver never gets really dirty not ultra shiney.. Driven not detailed was my moto then, which posses me off now as I would love a black phase 1 or flame red
I have had A ktec supersports exhaust with Decat on my daily runner for a year now and the only time it posses me off is when I'm on the motorway for a long period of time. Sounds so much better with a Decat though
My 172 has 6 previous owners and it's mint condition, previous owners didnt bother me as these cars have quite a high insurance premium and fixing costs that alot of people dont take into account when buying "just a clio" hence why occasionally they are purchased and then sold a month later...
I read that this month and did have a little chuckle to myself as that's the deal of the century, all these guys spending there cash on ITB's and low pressure turbos only end up with 210bhp-240bhp and they are spending a good couple of grand more lol think it's been on some very friendly...
I use a silverline silverstorm rotary polisher (only machine polisher I have ever used) and upon what I had read and been told I didn't find it hard to use or scary. They are more dangerous as in they can burn through your paint work but you have to be a right nob end to do that. Read a Guide on...
Had a good read this evening as mine arrived earlier. Some nice cars in it the cover car has had a few pennies spent on it, also who's is the phase 1 172 with the orange wing mirrors wheels and badges?
Just throwing it out there but the graffiti tunnel (at London I think it was there some guys recently went and had a good photo meet) I'm game for anywhere though
