looks like the demand for the red ones is low, blue ones were available straight away.
so it took some time for "julie" to make them ;)
at least I had no problems in these 2 months with the old ones
fitted these today after 2 months of waiting for them
and they're made by Julie :D
the length of about 2 of them is a bit off but they fit nice and the car runs well
I will speak to the owner and ask him. and yes, it will be a hydraulic clutch
no, because the fly along with the clutch kit are on their way. once we'll have the fly the spacer will be machined.
yes there will be a trigger wheel on that pulley on the other side and the sensor positioned.
or you can use the original ECU and have a custom vag flywheel with 60-2 pattern teeth on the back, which is not that simple to do..
an yes, we have the drawing ;)
some recent updates:
the adaptor plate is done, so are the hybrid mk5 gti/renault driveshafts (no pics of them yet)
there are also 2 custom mounts that you'll see in the pics
just ordered the 36-1 trigger wheel and sensor today. the trigger wheel will be bolted to the lower crank pulley
once the...
we are using a 02M 6 speed gearbox from a 1,8T seat leon. will post some pics soon enough when the box will be on the car (waiting for the clutch kit and flywheel for the moment)
there is a GTT using the same combo (f4r engine plus vag box) in the UK (scoff's car, he's a member here too)
et 36? no, the non cups 172's are et 48,5 (phase 2, can't remember ph1), the cup is et 38 so 10.5 mm wider on each side.
and the trophy wheels being et 45 it means they give a narrower track than et 38 (the smaller the number- the wider the track)
of course, trophy has different wheel hubs...
curious to know what would be the excuse for renault not making the cars like this straight from the factory if it rides better (I'm not being sarcastic! just curious)
top pic. they will expand more across the length than the width. easy to tell when trying to fit as they'll probably won't even go in if you don't file that area
I had mine painted with hammerite and not long after bought the DS2500 pads and had some bed-in sessions. the paint stayed there no problem. if it took that abuse than I suppose it's fine. painted them last summer and they're still fine
