yup just remove the shims from the pad carriers and dress the edges of the back plate (2 nobbles either end) down slightly so the pad can move vertically by about 1mm vertically in the carrier
you know what, you could argue the cold temps don't help, plastic idlers/cambelt do get warm, then when the engine is off will cool to -3 or whatever, maybe the extra stress from the slightly more extreme heat cycles unfortnatley helps older cambelt kits to fail
