remind me of your settings when you took the 172 scud to be aligned? oh yeah that's right they were bang on to within 0.1, done by eye on the floor
go and use some fancy equipment if you want, bet you £10 they c**k it up AGAIN
we did a group test against them, the journalist driving the cars said our 182 was "the best handling 182 i've driven" and he said our car felt quicker, it was a standard engine with an air filter and a decat exhaust system, make of that what you will LOL, marketing goes a long way!
technical reason? i've stated it many times
metal expands when hot (the back plate in this case)
the shims clog up with s**t which is the main reason they should be binned, basically the shims are there to stop the pads clunking about when you reverse and apply the brakes CLUNK, go...
and you get 12months warranty from me, other specialists offer the same too
BTM and Birchdown are both the same price BTW
a break down of what you get for £425
new cambelt kit - idlers tensioner and a belt
new aux kit - tensioner, idler and a belt
labour - 5hrs
but alas the price...
most stuff has twin cables basically as a back up if one s***s itself, plus i think they work in a nicer way
if you go for proper sexy push/pull cables then even better, i've just had one made for the V6 ONE HUNDRED BLOODY POUNDS (7ft long!) but it is nice :D
