This is what I am expecting too to be honest, but even though I have gone off the looks quite abit , I thought I would give it a fair chance now that they have one in. It's not a brand spanking new one, it's done 14k, so the engine should be worn in enough to give it a fair trial.
There's always...
Dunc and I went along to Wilsons in Epsom today to get two coils for my Clio. Whilst we were there we decided to have a look around to see what they had. We were not looking around long outside when we were approached by a very nice young Salesman called Andy. I asked about the 1.6 Dynamique S...
You can't always re-create the noise when the wheels are off the ground. Tried this with both of my front wheels and they didn't make a noise at all, however the noise was back once I drove it again. Took it in to get checked and both front bearings were shot!
I have to get both rears done...
Aww that's sad Paul, but chin it doesn't necessarily mean they are right. Work hard at the physio (as Peperami says) and prove them wrong. In the meantime keep your eye out for a 1.4 or 1.6 auto just so you can keep you hand in, so to speak.
How much are you looking to spend on one?
Already have two Clios, my 1.6 and the 1.2 fidji that Dunc and I share. I'm not interested in the new Clio at all. I'm waiting to see what happens with the Twingo. I won't be getting rid of either of the Clios though, love them too much. If the Twingo is what I am hoping it will be, I'll get one.
I love my car, infact I love cars! I've been car mad since I was a little girl. I used to play with matchbox cars and scalextrics sets instead of dolls and other girlie stuff. Started working on cars when I was 11. I was always at my happiest when I was under a car or tinkering under the bonnet...
Well I do like roundabouts, but the lads at my garage reckon that Renaults are bad for bearings anyway. Dunc had one done on his Meggy, but his car is alot older so we kind of expected it. I wasn't however prepared for all four of mine to go so bloody quickly. Although as I said I do like...
I did that with the first bearing Fred (n/s front), then the o/s front went two weeks later. The o/s rear started the same day as the o/s front was done. Oh and before you consider that the garage may be doing a number on me, I knew the o/s rear was a little suspect a while ago, but it wasn't...
I took my car in last week to get the o/s front bearing sorted. (Had already had the n/s done two weeks before). Now I have had to book her in for the rear bearings to be done too. It's the o/s rear that's gone, but I might as well get both done to save me the hastle of taking it in again in...
Glad the dent isn't a bad as you first thought Ollie. Good job you work where you do as well, so hopefully like you say it won't cost too much to put right.
I feel for you though as that must have been a right downer on what had been an otherwise excellent day.
This is where it gets confusing again. Mine is a UK spec car and was 1st registered in the UK, but it is still classed as an import as it was built in Germany instead of France. (Apparently). I didn't have to pay any extra on insurance because it was an import though. Because mine was an import...
My car was made in Germany but also 1st registered in the Uk.(UK spec car). My car is classed an in importt and I have exactly the same problem as you do when needing parts. My reg number doesn't show up on Renaults records so they have to use my vin plate too. Grrrr.
I really don't understand...
Here we go then, some pics. Please excuse the quality as it was a tad dull and misty and the ones taken whilst we were moving were through a slightly grubby windscreen. ;)
Hiya MrTurner, welcome to CS. :)
Dunc (my Hubby) has a 2.0ltr 16V Megane Coupe at the moment. He's looking to buy an R26 but finding a local garage for a test drive is proving to be a little difficult. It appears we will have to wait for about 6 weeks for a test drive. :(
As for your Mrs...
Sorry to hear about your accident mate. Dunc had exactly the same thing happen with a white van years ago in his Pug D Turbo. I think a rear end shunt is the thing I fear the most whilst driving as, even if you can tell it's going to happen there is very litte you can do about it if you have...
Awww that's s**t luck mate. Really feel for you. I don't normally wish bad things on people, but I hope the little s***s get nothing but bad luck for the rest of their lives. Scumbags!
How come the darn security guard noticed you and your mates standing by your car but fialed to see some...
