Dont think there is room under the standard plenham to fit them. We looked into it when building the race car on port throttles but it wasnt worth the effort/expense. Matt at TDF advised to stick with pack and leads. (we went with a Ford coil in the end for vairous reasons)
Apparently the Cup...
I can hear Matt at TDF crying from here with the mention of solder in an engine wiring loom.
He advised us to use these on our car and they work very well. Soldered joint in engine bay + vibration + heat = bad/broken joint
piercross do a cold air feed kit
. A bit of pipe and 2 trumpets. Cut the pipe in half and you have one for each side.
75mm is the size we use.

Well if this weekend doesnt go well I shall be blaiming our photographer. Who has now been demoted to lettuce washer again.
He had one thing to remember to do this week and forgot, hopefully Bomber can save the day
8valve laguna mk1 1.8l. Basicly the very first lagunas. With pas but no aircon. You need the top bracket that the alternator swings on and the lower one that the pas pump bolts to. You may need to buy the f4r cup spacific bolts from Renault tho as the F3 engine uses studs on the lower bracket iirc
Its great for photos (from my limited knowledge). the track is in a natural bowl so you can always see somthing. Unlike Snetterton
Heres some from last year
Could of had PE2's for that money surely?
Crap in the wet and melted at oulton park. Couldnt really see what the hype is about when i had some.
Depends what you mean by 'any good' they are black, round and rubbery so work perfectly fine as tyres
You could save quite a bit of cash if you searched around breakers/scrap yards. The brackets are the same as a Mk1 Laguna 8valve. Id get a new alternator and belt tho
More than welcome to come along mate, im sure you would enjoy it. We have quite a crowd gathering I think. We can have our own little fan club area near Druids.
???
Im a little confused by that. Crank sensor isnt powered.
The way we have done it is to have everything 'live' off the battery master switch. so all additional electrics (lights, guages etc) work when battery is on. Then we have a switch for ignition live to ecu. When this is turned on the...
Text from Tony this morning.............
'Im like a little kid, Ive been around Brands 300 times in my sleep and its only Tuesday'
He didnt tell me what his best lap time was tho
From our experiance PF97's are not that hard on discs. We did a whole season of racing/testing/trackdays, 12 hours of running in total and they were about half worn. the pads were like new tho so the 3-4 sets of discs per set of pads seams about right.
Were currently using Yellowstuff, they...
Yes thats what they Ctek ones do. Cut out when charged.
When we did the group buy on these batteries I did mention several times that chargers were available from the same bloke for a good price and were recomended if the car had infrequent use. But not one person wanted one out of the 25 odd...
Its easy if you know what your doing but far too difficult to explain on a forum. Best off starting the interiro loom from scratch. Our project thread may help a little
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Can you not smash a standard socket on there? If not im sure the machine shop will sort it. Not the end of the world
Crawl under car, loosen gearlinkage where it meets box, push together more and tighten bolt. making sure you dont move it sode to side or you will have invented the 'Moving the gearstick sideways so I can only get 3 gears' mod
