Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
So unlucky mate, as said dont get down. Have a break from it, then decide what to do. Fixing this is surely better than the expense and time involved in changing to an F4R.
Valves, cambelt, headgasket. Wont cost THAT much in comparison to getting another engine tat you...
I dont know why everyone is being so negative about this. I think its a good idea, i intend to do this on my works van. I regularly drive down country lanes and with full beam on it turns off the dipped. Having the fog lights on aswell gives more light. obviously.
I know, lets just have 30...
it wont read 12volts, it will be about 0.5volts a/c on cranking.
You can measure at the sensor but all that will do is confirm the sensor is ok, it wont help if there is a poor connection and the signal isnt getting to the ecu. If you know what pins the crank signal is on your ecu then you can...
in the ideal world id like a real minimalist one like a cup racer. but starting with a road car means that there is a huge amount of wiring loom behind the dash. Will be putting a phase 2 dash in it next year, will trim off as much as possible.

Oulton is awsome chap, you will have to go next year, shame Renaultsport wont let you play with us.....
Altho I do know of a day being organised quite cheap by another forum
Curtis at powerstation had this problem with Adey's when using those top mounts. he had to grind down the adjuster a little iirc. Doesnt have this problem with standard mounts or ast top mounts
It sounded like that in the official video.
Did he have the esp on? there was a little flashing light on the dash in some corners
(I dont even know if it has esp)
