Not a Renault dealer then? It's not advisable to re-fit the old accessory belt. People say "not unless it looks ill etc" but would you really want to take the chance for a few quid? I wouldn't. Although, they would've said you needed a new handbrake cable to help the problem too... and maybe...

It's a VAG 1.8T Fitted to the Golf/A3/S3/TT/Leon/Octavia etc in various states of tune. Bullet-proof and can take good power on standard internals if you buy the right engine.
