I think you've done well in 108k with the treatment its had, just goes to show they can last when treated properly. That cones obviously fudged something internally, wheres the vid? must've missed that one.
Yeh will be a hydraulic clutch and probably a JR5 box as they're cable linkaged too. Don't know whether the clutch/flywheel will be different though, why you after one being nosey?
Its just a point where it resonates and you'll never get away from it just an engine charateristic. 2700-3000rpm in the meggy is a killer on the motorway which is lucky 70 is 2500.
I wouldn't bother taking it to renault before they charge you £80 or whatever a diag fee is now just to look at it...
Remove the panel below the climate control panel and get your hand up there, as you feed the headunit back pull the wiring down into the gap behind here. It will still be toight as a nuns but it will fit, i had 3x rcas, ipod lead, bluetooth interface and stalk adapter and that lot fitted fine...
You went back after he screwed up once? Its blatently apparently that that bar is required to hold the pads in as the flop about all over the place without it.
Its oil drag in the gearbox transmitting drive with the box in neutral, every car will do it. Generally will only spin one wheel due to the open diff on a 172.
Meggy uses the (nissan designed?) ND0 box which is much better overall as far as i'm aware, 197 uses the same. The PK6 is fitted to stuff with the old 3.0 v6 such as the Laguna V6 and Clio V6, and the traffic dci 6 speed.
Not sure which/how/what with a TL4 box though.
My old one:
Would do it again as well tbh, went 1.2->1.6->172 and really the jump from the 1.2 to the 1.6 seemed bigger than to the 172. Gave me a nice introduction to warm performance really, still miss it in some ways really :dapprove:.
Renault do the sleeve as thats what renault do when they screw you over for an oem backbox or centre section. Definetly worth the effort to get it off in a onner if you can.
