It'll only display Pioneer all the time, you'd need an alpine headunit that supports v.d.i. with a proper alpine adapter to get the screen like so:

If yours is worth more then it seems stupid to swap, sell yours and buy one if you want one that bad. I'd avoid one down the the ammount of shear tossers that drive them generally. They're not expensive brand new are they iirc?
I'll bet its not the lambda, it'd be running rough if it was the upstream one. Downstream possibly, I'd want it reset first if it comes back then its the lambda.
Did stevie wonder colour match (or not) the bodykit? Never a fan of bodging the RS front bumper onto standard wings either tbh. It'll be c**k on with a few finishing touches and changes imo.
Nope, only one way and your fine to disconnect it. Must've disconnected it 20 times or so when I had the wiring fault on the 172. Never caused any problems.
Disconnect mine loads of times on the 172 and when I took the gearbox out the 1.6, and i've disconnected the meggys one a few times whilst fitting bits and pieces. No problems ever. The connectors quite a good design, who told you that?
You must be otherwise it wouldn't be going off, theres no fix its just a charateristic of the alarm as its piggybacked of the standard remote central locking. Plip and a half second pause is more than enough for it.
Its either time to cut your losses/pay a lot to repair it/get the insurance involved and get it written off and you payed out.
Depends which one will be the biggest financial hit and I bet it isn't the insurance.
