I reckon on low 6's to 60mph.
The beep is the b2 overspeed warning at 100mph, but it always runs about 3 seconds behind. There's no way of timing that's 100% accurate but from when I set off, to when I reached an indicated 103mph (which is a true GPS 100mph) i make it mid to late 16's from...
Feels great eh Oms :)
I had a week away with my wife/daughter recently, and I did all the driving in a 1.6 Zetec Focus.
I couldn't wait to get home and went for a blast before we'd unpacked...felt like a proper supercar ;)
"I like the LOOK of these tyres" LMAO
The only thing that keeps you out of a ditch everytime you drive is those four little contact patches between rubber and asphalt...and you make your purchasing decision based on how a tyre looks!
As above ^^^ - as with most things in life, you get what...
As title...
Night before last it didn't make a single sound the whole way home, even if I tried to adjust volume it didn't give me the confirmation beeps.
Yesterday it worked again, but didn't sound right, and was intermittent.
Today's the same.
Anyone else had a similar problem?
I...
I had that when mine was new. Mentioned it to the Renault spanner monkeys, so they took the seat cover off and re-greased the offending part.
Since then, over the last 2 years and 55k miles the grease they used has worked its way outwards, and I now have two visible patches/oil stains on the...
I spoke with an instructor at Castle Combe and he said he raced his Corsa on them, and in a Race & Track Car mag article on the CC Saloon Car Championship recently, it seems he's not alone.
Anyone run a set on their Clio on the road? Did they last?
Or do the racers rave about them 'cause...
Under a light load at low revs you'd barely be able to tell it apart from a standard system, it just has a nice subtle bassy burble.
Approaching the limiter under full load/WOT it sounds just like it should have done when it left the factory - all rasps and howls :)
Power wise...no...
No pic as it looks, well, it's hidden like the OE system.
Got it as part of the group buy on here a couple of months back...paid £265, is stainless, and comes with a lifetime warranty.
Here it is...
^^^ That's what I do - 3k's enough for me to get it moving without bogging down (but then I am a little lighter), and feathering it instead of flooring it means you're still driving forwards rather than wheelspinning all the power away. Once it hooks up you can than take it to the limiter... I...
Mine went long ago...but I'm at 63k now...and thought that the standard Renault warranty was only for 3yrs/60k miles?
Anyone had them replaced within 3 years but at over 60k miles?
Define best...
Cheapest? - probably Renault OE
Most resistant to fade? - err, DS3000, PF97 or Pagid Blue
Least brake dust? - pass
Longest life? - DS2500 (current set have lasted me 12K+ 4-5 trackdays)
Most spectacular? PF97
Bearing in mind the fact that they retained hydraulic only on the 172/182 range, and the level of (apparent) detailed developments coming on the 197, I'm sure they'd not stuff it up with crap steering.
Can electric feel as good as hydraulic? Maybe Renault have cracked it?
I can't wait for...
